(ENGINEER) and INDIAN RIVER COUNTY (COUNTY) . The proposed scope of work includes bridge design revisions , bridge inspection services, electrical plan revisions to meet 2010 Building Code and coordination . All provisions of the original Professional Engineering Services Agreement including Amendment Nos . 1 through 15 shall remain in full force and effect, unless otherwise specifically modified . This amendment addresses changes in " SCOPE OF SERVICES ", and "TIME OF COMPLETION" of the AGREEMENT . SCOPE OF SERVICES See attached letter from Carter Associates , Inc . dated May 16 , 2012 , which specifies changes in the " SCOPE, OF SERVICES " and " COMPENSATION" COMPENSA'T'ION This section of the AGREEMENT entitled SECTION V - COMPENSATI0Vshall be revised in response to the Scope modifications set out herein . All sections of the AGREEMENT shall remain in full fierce and effect , and are incorporated herein . This Amendment No . 16 to the AGREEMENT , regardless of where executed , shall be governed by and construed by the laws of the State of Florida . All provisions of the original Professional Engineering Services Agreement ( dated November 17 , 1998 ) , including Amendment Nos . 1 through 15 , shall remain in full force and effect, unless otherwise specifically modified herein . The following further describes our proposed scope of services and terms of agreement between Carter Associates , Inc . ( CAI) and Indian River County (County) : Additional Services : • Bridge design revisions to meet current Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) load requirements as requested by the County . The previous bridge design was performed in accordance with the original Professional Engineering Services Agreement which based the bridge design on the 1991 edition of the FDO T Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction and the 1994 edition of the FDOT Design Standards . In order for FDOT to accept the bridge when completed, the current load requirements must be met . (This work will be performed by TRC Worldwide Engineering, Inc . for a lump sum fee of $ 6 , 300 . 00 ; see Exhibit "A") . • Bridge construction inspection services . (Remove bridge inspection services by Jenkins & Charland , Inc . under Amendment 3 for the amount of $ 5 , 800 . 00 and add bridge inspection services by TRC Worldwide Engineering , Inc . for a lump sum amount of $ 8 , 300 . 00) . • Electrical plan revisions to meet 2010 code . The previous work was based on 2007 code . (This work will be performed by KAMM for a lump sum of $ 500 . 00 ) . • Incidental fees for coordinating the above changes , plan modifications to incorporate the above changes , re -permitting through Indian River Farms Water Control District, printing and distribution of revised plans , etc . to be performed by CAI for a lump sum fee of $ 2 , 900 . 00 . Pat Walther , PE Carter associates , Inc . 1708 21st street Vero Beach , FL 32960 - 3476 RE : Redesign of The Beams For The 66th Avenue Bridge Bridge Construction Inspection Services Dear Mr. Walther: As requested , TRC Worldwide Engineering is pleased to present this proposal for professional structural engineering services , as described below: Scope of Services : We will perform an LRFD beam design for the subject bridge , in accordance with standard AASHTO and FDOT procedures . We will design the AASHTO II beams as simple spans and will include the required additional dead load for the stay-in -place steel forms . We will provide revised sheets B8 and 1310 for your use . We will also provide on site bridge construction inspection . We will observe reinforcing steel placement prior to each concrete pour. It is anticipated this will require ten site visits . In addition we will attend the substantial completion inspection and the final inspection . Services specifically excluded are : Soil investigation , geotechnical engineering , engineering services which are normally provided by Specialty Engineers , applications for permits , actual construction/repairs , mechanical/electrical engineering , site engineering , and architectural design /detailing responsibilities . Fee Structure : The fee for the design services will be a Lump Sum of $ 6 , 300 . 00 . The fee for Bridge Construction Inspection Services will be a Lump Sum of $ 81300 . 00 . Any additional services requested will be charged at our hourly rates . Please note that the attached General Conditions is applicable and form part of our agreement .
