HomeMy WebLinkAbout2010-300 BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS 8 � 180127th Street, Vero Beach , Florida 32960 O U Telephone : 772- 567-8000 �,� FAX : 772-778-9391 �lUR LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING ( LOU ) Between the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners and the Florida Department of Transportation ( FDOT) for; MAINTENANCE ALONG SR-5 ( US - 1 ) FROM NORTH OF HIGHLAND DRIVE MP 0 , 448 TO SOUTH OF OSLO ROAD MP 1 . 829 , FM # 2285834 -52 -01 This letter is to confirm a commitment made and entered into this 7th day of December 2010 , by Indian River County , Florida ( Maintaining Agency) to maintain all landscape material and hardscape features furnished and installed by the Florida Department of Transportation ( FDOT) located in the Right of Way of SR- 5 ( US - 1 ) from North of Highland Drive MP 0 . 448 to South of Oslo Road MP 1 . 829 , FM# 228583 -4 - 52- 01 . This Letter of Understanding for Landscape maintenance is directed to FDOT , prior to and is contingent upon : i ) review and acceptance of the Design Plans and Final Construction Documents by the Maintaining Agency , prior to Final Engineering Phase Submittal ; and ii ) approval and execution of an amendment to the Inclusive Agreement for SR- 5 to include the proposed landscape improvements . The Plans and Documents for this effort will conform to FDOT standards and specifications . The Maintaining Agency will verify community support for the landscaping portion of this project . An amendment will be formalized between FDOT and the Maintaining Agency two months prior to the Biddability Phase Submittal , which is currently scheduled for March 8 , 2011 .
