Beach Erosion Control Project — City of Vero Beach, Planning Sector 5
Dear Mr . Haubner :
This letter is to reaffirm the commitment from Indian River County and the responsibility to act
as the non - Federal sponsor for the Beach Erosion Control Project - City of Vero Beach , Planning
Sector 5 . The County remains fully committed to the project and local cost share funding is
available to engage in a new feasibility study for the project .
The County is aware that this project is on the list to be forwarded to Congress at the end of
the month to be de - authorized per Section 2046 of Water Resources Development Act ( WRDA )
2007 . Please remove the project from the de - authorization list so that the County and USACE
may continue as partners on this very important Beach Restoration Project .
Please advise if the USACE needs any further information from the County .
