Re% Enforcement of the Smoking Policy at the Indian River County Mall

On April 1 2014 members of Girl Scout Troop 50003 and Girl Scout Troop 50043
spoke to the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners concerning the
enforcement of the smoking policies posted at the Indian River Mall. Although the
Board understands that it does not have jurisdiction to regulate smoking, the Board
supports the concerns expressed by the Girl Scouts regarding smoking. Therefore, the
Board requests that the Indian River Mall enforce the rules concerning smoking that are
posted at the Indian River Mall. We also respectfully request that the representatives of
the Indian River Mall meet with the members of these Girl Scout troops to discuss the
smoking policies.
