FLORIDA ON WEDNESDAY, JUNE 7TH, 1972 AT 8;30 O'CLOCK A.M. PRESENT

THE CHAIRMAN CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AND ASKED IF
THERE WERE ANY ADDITIONS OR CORRECTIONS TO THE MINUTES OF THE
REGULAR MEETING OF MAY 24, 1972 THERE WERE NONE AND ON MOTION BY
COMMISSIONER DRITENBAS, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER LOY, THE BOARD
I UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED THE MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF MAY
24, 1972 AS WRITTEN
DEWEY WALKER, COUNTY ZONING INSPECTOR REPORTED ON
ZONING VIOLATIONS. MR. WALKER STATED THAT UTILITY BUILDINGS
WERE BEING ERECTED THROUGHOUT THE COUNTY THAT WERE NOT MEETING
BUILDING CODE SPECIFICATIONS. COMMISSIONER DRITENBAS SUGGESTED
A MEETING WITH HIMSELF, DEWEY WALKER AND THE BUILDING INSPECTOR
TO ESTABLISH,A FOLLOW-UP PROCEDURE TO,ENFORCE BUILDING SET -BACK
REGULATIONS.
MIKE STARCKX APPEARED REQUESTING SITE PLAN APPROVAL TO
ENLARGE HIS PRESENT JUNK YARD. THE ADMINISTRATOR BROUGHT TO MRb-
STARCKXSATTENTION THE POSSIBILITY THAT HIS JUNK YARD PROPERTY
ON NORTH GIFFORD ROAD MIGHT BE UNDER THE MURPHY ACT.TITLE,AND
SUGGESTED MR. STARCKX INVESTIGATE THIS POSSIBILITY._

ON MOTION of Commissioner Loy seconded by
Commissioner mccullers the following Resolution was
adopted.
WHEREAS., the Department of Transportation has located and proposes to con-
struct and improve State Road 603 , Section 08030-2502 in
VDI&Iq ply—rg -County, Florida; and
WHEREAS, in order for the Department of Transportation to further and
complete said project, it is necessary that certain lands now owned by
In -um BIM County be acquired by the State of Florida for the use and
benefit of the Department of Transportation of Florida; and
WEEMS, the Department of Transportation having requested said County to
execute and deliver to the Department of Transportation a dead or deeds in favor
of the State of Florida, conveying all rights, title and interest that said
County has in and to said lands required for right of way for said State Road,
and said request having been duly considered.
NOW, TMMR ORZ,, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of.
said County that the Chairman and Clerk of said Board be and they are hereby
authorized and directed to make, execute and deliver to the Department of
Transportation a deed or deeds in favor of the State of Florida conveying all
right, title and interest of said County in and to said lands owned by said
County required for right of way for said State Road.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of the Resolution be forwarded
forthwith to the Department of Transportation at Tallahassee, Florida.

ORDINANCE NO. 72
An ordinance relating to occupational license
taxation; authorizing Indian River County to
levy occupational license taxes; providing an
effective date.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN
RIVER COUNTY:
Section 1. Indian River County hereby levies an
occupational license tax and authorizes the issuance of
occupational licenses as authorized by the provisions of
Chapter 72 - 306, General Laws of.Florida.
Section 2. The classification for the measurement of the
tax and the tax itself shall be the same as was authorized under
the provisions of Chapter 205, Florida Statutes, as it existed
in law prior to April 24, 1972.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect on June 12, 1972..
