HomeMy WebLinkAbout1996-20ORDINANCE NO, 96- 20 AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE AND THE ACCOMPANYING ZONING MAP FROM CL TO PD FOR APPROXIMATELY 6.19 ACRES OF LAND GENERALLY LOCATED BETWEEN STATE ROAD 60 AND THE MAIN RELIEF CANAL, EAST OF 58TH AVENUE; AND DESCRIBED HEREIN, AND PROVIDING FOR EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Planning and'Zoning Commission, sitting as the local planning agency on such matters, has held a public hearing and subsequently made a recommendation regarding this rezoning request; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, did publish and send its Notice of Intent to rezone the hereinafter described property; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has determined that this rezoning is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan of Indian River County, and the county land development regulations, including but not limited to the Planned Development (PD) Process and Standards for Development chapter; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, in conjunction with the rezoning request has approved a PD conceptual plan (see EXHIBIT B, attached) that controls and regulates development on the subject land; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has held a public hearing pursuant to this rezoning request, at which, parties in interest and citizens were heard; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, that the Zoning of the property situated in Indian River County, and legally described in EXHIBIT A (attached) be changed from CL (Limited Commercial) to PD (Planned Development). All with the meaning and intent as set forth in the land development regulations, and the approved conceptual plan. ORDINANCE NO. 96-20 Approved and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, on this 1 day of October , 1996. This ordinance was advertised in the Vero Beach Press -Journal on the 5 day of September, 1996 for a public hearing to be held on the 1 day of October 1996 at which time it was moved for adoption by Commissioner Macht , seconded by Commissioner Eggert and adopted by the following vote: Chairman Fran B.
