HomeMy WebLinkAbout2003-020ORDINANCE NO. 2003- 020 AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 102.04 OF THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY CODE DEALING WITH THE ORDER OF BUSINESS AS IT APPEARS ON THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Section 102.04 sets out the order of business appearing on Commission agendas and, in particular, in subsection 11 sets out Departmental matters and, in subsection 14, Special districts; and WHEREAS, County departments have been reorganized and added since this ordinance was last codified. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. AMENDMENT TO ORDER OF BUSINESS. Subsection 11, "Departmental matters" of Indian River County Code Section 102.04, Order of Business, is hereby amended to read as follows: 11. Departmental matters: a. Community development; b. Emergency fnanagemen4 services: c. General services; d. Human resources; e. Human services; d= f. Leisure services; g_ Office of management and budget; €k h. CODIFICATION. It is the intention of the Board of County Commissioners that the provision of this ordinance shall become and be made part of the Indian River County Code, and that the sections of this ordinance may be renumbered or re - lettered and the word ordinance may be changed to section, article or such other appropriate word or phrase in order to accomplish such intention. SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE This ordinance shall take upon filing with the Florida Department of This ordinance was advertised in the Vero Beach Press,,Journal on the 28th day of June, 2003, for a public hearing to be held on the 8th day of July, 2003, at which time it was moved for adoption by Commissioner Gi nn , seconded by Commissioner Adams , and adopted by the following vote: Aye Emergency Services District; Kenneth R.
