The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, met at the Court House in Vero Beach, at 10 o'clockjA.M.Tue,sday, December 17th.1929, with the following members of the Board present: Albert O.Helseth, chairman; J.D.Yongue; J.W. LaBruce; T.J.P.Hamilton. Absent John H.Atkin. Also present miles Warren, Clerk. and Clark S. Rice, 'Meriff. . The Notary Public bond of B.H.Phillips, in the sun of $500.00 with the American Surety Company, a corporation, of New York was approved. The Notary Public bond of Helen S. Luly in the sum of 0500.00 with the Columbia Casualty Company, a corporation, as surety was approved. The contract, heretofore authorized, with the Texas Corporation to supply the County with gasoline for the year 1930 was executed by the Chairman and Clerk. The bond of Gordon R. Olmstead, as Tax Collector in the sum. of $20,000.00 with Columbia Casualty Company, a corporation, as surety was approved. This bond being a supplemental bond in addition to the original bond heretofore approved. The following resolution was adopted: WHERMAS, this Board has entered into a supplemental contract with Pauly Jail Building Company, supplementary to jail contract dated September 18th 1929; and, WHEREAS, by the terms of such supplemental contract the time for the performance of the contract of September 19th, 1929, is extended, with the result that the bond of the Contractor will be continued effective longer than first contemplated; and !iRERE , it is the opinion of this Board. that this Board slmuld pay any additional premium required on such bond; THEREFORE, be it Resolved that any additional premium required to be paid to the Fidelity & Casualty Co., of New York on its bond of the Pauly Jail Building Company,be paid by this Boaid. Upon being put to a vote the same was unanimously adopted. It was ordered that the Vero Beach Press -Journal publish the .Auditors report in full, the Board agreeing to pay $20.00 from the Publicity Fund on account of such. T.A.'Stewa.rt, Receiver of the Vero Beach Bank & Trust Company filed a financial report with the Clerk with respect to County Funds as followss December 12, 1929. Counter De osits. It was ordered that the Clerk draw warrant for the purchase of "X" license tags f trucks and carsand motorcycle in County use. 1 1 1 1 1 c3 1 A, letter was received and read, from the Farmers Ban's of Vero Beach, in answer to inquiry as to the payment of balance due the County of $51,045.74, in which the Bank agreed to pay $1,045.74 on March 1st 1930, and hoped to be able to credit the County with 31000.00 each month thereafter, and if collections improve hope to in- crease this monthly payment. The same was ordered filed. Bi 11 f or the payment of the f rce s of the . County Road crew was presented, and approved by the Board and warrants ordered issued in settlement of same. The said warrants so issued being listed completely in the County finance Record, as provided by law, and reference to such record made a part of the minutes as fully and completely as if the same were set out herein in detail.
