A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA,
AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2003-2004 BUDGET.
WHEREAS, certain appropriation and expenditure amendments to the
adopted Fiscal Year 2003-2004 Budget are to be made by resolution pursuant to
section 129.06(2)(a) -(e), Florida Statutes (2002); and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County
desires to amend the fiscal year 2003-2004 budget, as more specifically set forth
in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Fiscal Year
2003-2004 Budget be and hereby is amended as set forth in Exhibit "A" upon
adoption of this Resolution.
This Resolution was moved for adoption by Commissioner
Adams , and the motion was seconded by Commissioner Neuberger ,
and, upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows:

Miscellaneous Budget Amendment 004
Description and Conditions
The attached budget amendment appropriates funding necessary for the following:
1. Various landscaping improvements are needed at the Health Department Building at an
estimated cost of $7,635. The attached entry appropriates funding from General Fund
contingencies.
2. On January 6, 2004, the Board of Commissioners approved a scope of work for a Library
Master Pian at a projected cost of $75,000. The attached entry appropriates funding from
General Fund contingencies.
3. On January 13, 2004, the Board of Commissioners approved an EMS County Awards Grant
from the Department of Health, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services. The attached entry
appropriates a portion of these grant funds ($17,048) as approved by the Board.
4. The Indian River County Veteran's Council has scheduled a fundraising event at the Shooting
Range. This one -day event is intended to raise funds necessary for the purchase of a
replacement bus for the Council. The attached entry appropriates funding for rental of the
facility in the amount of $1,000 from General Fund contingencies.
5. The County received revenues and incurred expenses associated with the Florida High
School Athletic Association (FHSAA) Swimming and Diving Finals. The attached budget
amendment appropriates the revenues and expenses as necessary.
6. On January 13, 2004, the Board of Commissioners approved advance funding of North
County Park - Phase II improvements. Funding for this project is provided by a FRDAP
Grant, Optional Sales Tax contingencies and cash balances. The attached entry appropriates
funding.

Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends that the Board of Commissioners approve the attached budget resolution
amending the fiscal year 2003/04 budget.
