A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA,
AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2004-2005 BUDGET.
WHEREAS, certain appropriation and expenditure amendments to the
adopted Fiscal Year 2004-2005 Budget are to be made by resolution pursuant to
section 129.06(2)(a) -(e), Florida Statutes (2002); and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County
desires to amend the fiscal year 2004-2005 budget, as more specifically set forth
in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Fiscal Year
2004-2005 Budget be and hereby is amended as set forth in Exhibit "A" upon
adoption of this Resolution.
This Resolution was moved for adoption by Commissioner
Bowden , and the motion was seconded by Commissioner Davi s ,
and, upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows:

Subject: Miscellaneous Budget Amendment 003
Description and Conditions
The attached budget amendment appropriates funding necessary for the following:
1. The Housing Authority is having difficulty with the total expenses relating to hurricanes
Frances and Jeanne. Some of the housing units have sustained damage, and the Housing'
Authority has incurred substantial expenses to -make necessary repairs. Due to these factors,
the housing authority has requested assistance . from the County in paying the landfill
assessment for this year. The attached entry appropriates funding from General Fund
contingencies in the amount of $8;542.
2. Indian River County libraries have received donations totaling $9,009. The attached entry
appropriates these donated funds.
3. On July 20, 2004, the Board of Commissioners approved a contribution of'$2;500 to the St.
Johns River- Alliance. The attached entry appropriates funding from General Fund
contingencies.
4. Indian River County has received two grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development (HUD). The attached entry appropriates these grant funds.
5. The State of Florida Department of Revenue has amended the Property Appraiser's budget
for FY 2004/05. Along .with changes in allocations between taxing funds, this requires a
budget amendment.
Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends that the Board of Commissioners approve the attached budget resolution
amending the fiscal year 2004/05 budget.
