RESOLUTION NO. 2008=007
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY,
FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 71 GENERAL
PROVISIONS, OF RESOLUTION NO. 2003-125 TO
ALLOW THE CHAIR OF THE AGRICULTURE
ADVISORY COMMITTEE TO SERVE FOR AN
ADDITIONAL ONE YEAR FOR THE 2008-2009
TERM.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 2003-125 re-established and
restructured the Indian River County Agriculture Advisory Committee; and
WHEREAS, Section 7 of Resolution No. 2003-125 provides that
each chair and vice chair shall serve for a 1 -year term and may be re-elected but
shall be limited to two successive annual terms, at which point they would be
ineligible to chair the committee for at least one year; and
WHEREAS, Robert Adair has chaired the Agriculture Advisory
Committee for two years and at the time of election of a new chair on January 10,
2008, all other committee members declined to serve, citing among other
reasons, lack of experience on the committee, distances to travel, and other time
commitments; and
WHEREAS, the Agriculture Advisory Committee re-elected Robert
Adair as Chair, subject to approval of the Board of County Commissioners,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that
Robert Adair's re-election as Chair of the Agriculture Advisory Committee for the
2008-2009 term is approved.

The foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner
Gary C Wheeler and seconded by Commissioner Sandra L. Bowden and,
upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows:
