HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001-115 RESOLUTION NO. 2001-115 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE TRANSMITTAL OF A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TO THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS FOR ITS REVIEW. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners adopted the Indian River County Comprehensive Plan on February 13, 1990, and WHEREAS,the county received comprehensive plan amendment applications during its July 2001 amendment submittal window, and WHEREAS, the Local Planning Agency held a public hearing on this comprehensive plan amendment request on September 27, 2001, after due public notice, and WHEREAS, the Local Planning Agency recommended that the Board of County Commissioners deny transmittal of the comprehensive plan amendment listed below; and WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County held a Transmittal Public Hearing on November 13, 2001, after advertising pursuant to F.S. 163.3184(15)(b)(1), and WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners announced at the transmittal public hearing its intention to advertise and hold a final public hearing at the adoption stage of the plan amendment process. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA THAT: 1. The above recitals are ratified in their entirety. 2. The following proposed amendment is approved for transmittal to the State of Florida Department of Community Affairs: Request to amend the Future Land Use Map of the Comprehensive Plan from R, Rural Residential (up to 1 unit/acre), to L-1, Low-Density Residential-1 (up to 3 Page 1 of 2 RESOLUTION NO. 2001-115 units/acre), for ±142 acres located at the northeast corner of 85`h Street and 90`h Avenue. The forgoing Resolution was offered by Commissioner Adams and seconded by Commissioner Ti ppi n and upon being put to a vote,the vote was as follows: Chairman Caroline D. Ginn Aye Vice-Chairman Ruth M. Stanbridge _Nay Commissioner Fran B. Adams Aye Commissioner Kenneth R. Macht _gyp Commissioner John W. Tippin _A'ye The Chairman thereupon declared the resolution duly passed and adopted at a public hearing held this 13`h day of November 2001.
