HomeMy WebLinkAbout2002-043 6/2002RESO(LEGAL)WGC/nhm RESOLUTION NO. 2002- 043 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF CERTAIN PROPERTY TO THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY HOSPITAL DISTRICT. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County owns certain property platted as Vero Beach — Burial Park by virtue of a judicial decree quieting title in Indian River County by adverse possession; and WHEREAS, the Indian River County Hospital District, an organization not-for- profit organized for the purposes of promoting community interest and welfare has made application for the County's conveyance of the north approximately 3Y acres of the property to the Hospital District, to be used for the establishment and operation of the new Gifford Health Center; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is satisfied that such property is required for such use and is not needed for County purposes; and WHEREAS, the Indian River County Hospital District has borne the expenses of the quiet title suit in order to quiet title to the entire 10-acre Vero Beach — Burial Park parcel in the County, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: 1. The staff of Indian River County is authorized and directed to prepare for approval by the Board a replat of the Vero Beach — Burial Park for the purposes of delineating a tract on the north end of the property as a health center tract, and 1 RESOLUTION NO. 2002. 043 2. That in consideration of One Dollar ($1.00) and the previous consideration of the Indian River County Hospital District bearing the expenses of the suit to quiet title in the name of Indian River County, conveyance of approximately 3Y acres on the northern portion of the replatted property is hereby approved, and the Chairman of the Commission is hereby authorized to execute a deed of such property to the Indian River County Hospital District. The resolution was moved for adoption by Commissioner Adams , and the motion was seconded by Commissioner-Gina--_, and, upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: Ruth M. Stanbridge, Chairman A- John W. Tippin, Vice Chairman Aye Fran B. Adams Aye Caroline D. Ginn Aye Kenneth R.
