RESOLUTION NO. 2005- 126
A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA,
AMENDING THE-FISCAL YEAR 2004-2005 BUDGET.
WHEREAS, certain appropriation and expenditure amendments to the
adopted Fiscal Year 2004-2005 Budget are to be made by resolution pursuant to
section 129.06(2)(a)-(e), Florida Statutes (2004); and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County,
desires to amend the fiscal year 2004-2005 budget, as more specifically set forth
in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Fiscal Year
2004-2005 Budget be and hereby is amended as set forth in Exhibit "A" .upon
adoption of this Resolution.
This Resolution was moved for adoption by Commissioner
Davis , and the motion was seconded by Commissioner Bowden ,
and, upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows:

Subject: Miscellaneous Budget Amendment 019
Description and Conditions
The attached budget amendment appropriates funding necessary for the following:
1. Indian River County has been awarded a $7,500,000 Community Development Block Grant
(CDBG) for Disaster Recovery of various County departments resulting from the hurricanes of
2004: Indian River County has also been appropriated $14,563,228 in' SHIP Hurricane
Housing Recovery (HHR) funds to help families displaced by the hurricanes of 2004. The
attached entry appropriates CDBG funds in the amount of $7,500,000 and SHIP HHR funds
in the amount of $460,000 for the current fiscal year.
2. On June 21, 2005 the Board approved the purchase of the Ansin site for $1,939,500. The
attached entry appropriates additional funds from a grant awarded by the Department of
Community Affairs (DCA) to cover this purchase.
3. Electric charges for the Floralton Beach Streetlights are exceeding the estimated amounts.
The attached entry appropriates funding in the amount of $500 from cash forward for the
remainder of the fiscal year.
4. The Sheriff's Administration Building needed several repairs and attentions after the
hurricanes of last year. The attached entry appropriates funding from insurance proceeds and
Sales Tax revenue for hurricane repairs in the amount of $286,360 and for Sheriff HVAC
replacement in the amount of$244,766.
5. The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has awarded Indian River County Section 5307
Grant funds in the amount of $1,250,000 for the current fiscal year. Also, the Board of
Commissioners approved a Public Transportation Block Grant 'agreement from FDOT in the
amount of $298,610. The attached entry appropriates these grant funds.

Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends that the Board of Commissioners approve the attached budget resolution
amending the Fiscal Year 2004/05 budget.
