BURGH, ATTORNEY TO THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, WAS ABSENT DUE TO ILLNESS AND GEORGE G. COLLINS, ATTORNEY, SAT IN FOR HIM. THE CHAIRMAN CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AND ASKED IF THERE WERE ANY ADDITIONS OR CORRECTIONS TO THE MINUTES OF NOVEMBER 7, 1974; THERE WERE NONE, ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER LOY, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED THE MINUTES OF NOVEMBER 7, 1974, AS WRITTEN, THE CHAIRMAN ASKED IF THERE WERE ANY ADDITIONS OR CORRECTIONS TO THE MINUTES OF NOVEMBER 20, 1974; THERE WERE NONE, ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER LOY, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED THE MINUTES OF NOVEMBER 20, 1974, AS WRITTEN. SEP 291975 eOOK 23 f, 417 RESOLUTION NO. 75-1 ROCKRIDGE STREET LIGHTING DISTRICT RESOLUTION FOR 1975-1976 WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the Rockridge Street Lighting District has held a public hearing on September 29, 1975, for the purpose of adopting a Budget for the District for the fiscal year 1975-76; and WHEREAS, the Property Appraiser has provided the evaluations of the non-exempt property in said District; and WHEREAS, said hearing was noticed by publication and the needs of the District discussed in open forum, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE ROCKRIDGE LIGHTING DISTRICT THAT the following Budget is hereby adopted for the District for 1975-76. ESTIMATED EXPENSES: 1. Utilities (Electricity) $150.00/month x 12 months $1,900.00 2. Supplies (new lamps and globes) 225.00 3. Property Appraiser's Fee 50.00 4. Attorney's salary 250.00 5. Florida 3 420 CHAIRMAN LOY ASKED THE FINANCE OFFICER TO GO OVER THE BUDGET OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS. MR, HOCK11AN EXPLAINED THAT THERE WAS ONE CHANGE WHICH INVOLVED A REDUCTION IN THE LOCAL AD VALOREM TAX AND A CORRESPONDING INCREASE IN THAT FROM STATE SOURCES TO PUT THINGS IN A MORE PROPER PERSPECTIVE, THE MILLAGE WOULD REMAIN THE SAME REGARDLESS AT 4.3092, THE BUDGET OTHER- WISE WAS JUST AS ADVERTISED, CHAIRMAN LOY ASKED IF ANYONE PRESENT WISHED TO BE HEARD, ANN ROBINSON SAID SHE WISHED TO EXPRESS HER APPRECIATION FOR THE TIME AND EFFORT THAT ALL HAVE PUT IN THIS BUDGET, ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER MASSEY, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER WODTKE, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED RESOLUTION 10, 75-64 APPROVING THE 1975-1976 BUDGET OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, 1 SEP 2 9197 fin 23 7'Ar,142l SEP 2 91975 RESOLUTION NO. 75- 64 WHEREAS, the County Auditor after tentatively ascertaining the proposed budgeted fiscal policies of the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, for the fiscal year commencing on the first day of October, 1975, and ending on the 30th day of September, 1976, did prepare and present to the Board a tentative budget for the ensuing fiscal year for each of the funds therein as provided by law, including all estimated receipts, taxes to be levied, and balances expected to be brought forward, and all estimated expenditures, reserves, and balances. to be carried over at the end of the year, and WHEREAS, upon receipt of the tentative budgets and the completion of all revisions made by the Board, the Board did prepare a statement summarizing all of the tentative budgets. The summary statement did show for each budget and for the total of all budgets proposed tax millages, the balances, the reserves, and the total of each major classification of receipts and expenditures classified according to the classification of accounts prescribed by the appropriate state agencies. This Board did cause said summary statement to be advertised as required by law, and WHEREAS, said Board did meet in public hearing for the purpose of hearing requests and complaints from the public regarding the proposed budgets and making whatever revisions in the budget it did deem necessary and all the same having been now completed, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, That this Board does herewith levy upon all of the real and personal taxable property in Indian River County, Florida, for the year 1975, a tax of 4.3092 mills on the dollar to be redistributed among the funds in the budget as follows: e� iL 422 80e4��� ;r, �,. 1 SEP 2 9 1975 GENERAL FUND 1.9547 mills ROAD AND BRIDGE FUND .2012 mills FINES AND FORFEITURE FUND 2.1533 mills TOTAL MILLAGE 4.3092 mills BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the millage as finally adopted herein shall be filed in the office of the County Auditor in the Public Records and the County Auditor shall transmit forwith a certified copy of this Resolution to the Property Appraiser of Indian River County, to the Tax Collector of Indian River County, and to the Department of Revenue of the State of Florida.
