A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY,
FLORIDA, DIRECTING FEDERAL ECONOMIC
STIMULUS FUNDS TO THE EMPLOYMENT OF
AMERICAN WORKERS AND THE UTILIZATION
OF AMERICAN PRODUCTS.
WHEREAS, the federal government has funded an economic stimulus package
for the American economy; and
WHEREAS, those federal funds will be disbursed to state and local
governments; and
WHEREAS, American taxpayer money is the source of this economic stimulus
funding package;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that federal stimulus funds
received locally shall, to the maximum extent possible, go toward putting Americans
back to work, and, economic stimulus projects shall incorporate American products to
the maximum extent possible.
The resolution was moved for adoption by Commissioner Flescher , and the
motion was seconded by Commissioner O'Bryan , and, upon being put to a vote,
the vote was as follows:

Whereupon the Chairman declared the resolution duly passed and
adopted this 2nd day of June, 2009.
