HomeMy WebLinkAbout2003-139RESOLUTION 2003-1 39 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, DISBANDING THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING ADVISORY COMMITTEE WHEREAS, Resolutions 91-29, 93-97, and 95-23 established and restructured the Indian River County Affordable Housing Advisory Committee; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 93-13 was codified as Chapter 308 of the Indian River County Code creating the Indian River County Local Housing Assistance Trust Fund and the Indian River County Affordable Housing Advisory Committee; and WHEREAS, the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee was further authorized under Florida Statute 420.9076; and WHEREAS, the duties and obligations of the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee are complete pursuant to County Code or State regulation, and WHEREAS, as a result of the coordination of its efforts with staff and the Board of County Commissioners, the State Housing Initiatives Partnership Program has been providing financial assistance to low and moderate income homeowners of Indian River County by providing Affordable Housing and improving existing housing for, and WHEREAS, the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee has completed its task; and WHEREAS, the Community Development Department administers the County's Affordable Housing Program, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, that: 1. The Indian River County Affordable Housing Advisory Committee is hereby dissolved. 2. The past and present members of the committee are hereby recognized for their fine work and diligent effort in service to their committee. 3. The Community Development Department staff shall continue administering State Housing Initiative Partnership Program henceforth.
