Dear Mr. Barton:
SUBJECT: Resolution 2005-014-Supporting an Oslo Road Interchange with I-95
I-95 Project Development & Environment(PD&E) Study (FM 413064-1-22-01)
Indian River County
This is to inform you that we have received the subject County Resolution and to advise you that the Department
is expecting to initiate a PD&E study in June of 2005 that will incorporate the subject location. The limits of the
study are from South of Indrio Road in St. Lucie County to north of CR-512 in Indian River County. The scope
of the study is to widen I795, as well as,.to assess the potential for an interchange at Oslo Road.
In addition to securing eligibility for federal funding, this study will seek to obtain federal approval for this
proposed interchange. If an interchange is justified, the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) can
effectuate its construction by continuing to place a high priority on this project during their annual prioritization
process. The County Commission and the MPO will be on the project's mailing list,.and will be kept informed of
decisions that affect this project. We will also be keeping all communities along the corridor informed about the
progress of the study.
As noted earlier, the project is expected to begin in June of 2005, and will last approximately 2 %2 years. No
design or construction phases have been programmed, to date. If you have any questions regarding the PD&E
study, you may contact the project manager, Mr. Nicholas Danu, toll free at 866-336-8435, extension 4324.
