THE CHAIRMAN CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER.
ADMINISTRATOR JENNINGS LED THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE
FLAG, AND REVEREND RICHARD STEVENS OF THE CHAPEL IN THE PINES, GAVE THE
INVOCATION.
THE CHAIRMAN ASKED IF THERE WERE ANY ADDITIONS OR CORRECTIONS
TO THE MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEE71NG OF AUGUST 19, 1976.
COMMISSIONER WODTKE REQUESTED THAT ON PAGE 9, SEVENTH LINE FROM

ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER Loy, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER WODTKE,
THE -BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED RESOLUTION X76-53 ESTABLISHING MILLAGE
FOR THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS FOR THE BUDGET YEAR 1976-77.
RESOLUTION NO. 76-58
WHEREAS, the County Auditor after tentatively ascertaining
the proposed budget fiscal policies of the Board of County Commissioners
of Indian River County, Florida, for the fiscal year commencing on
the first day of October, 1976, and ending on the 30th day of Septem-
ber, 1977, did prepare and present to the Board a tentative budget for
the ensuing fiscal year for each of the funds therein as provided by
law, including all estimated receipts; taxes to be levied, and balances
expected to be brought forward, and all estimated expenditures, re-
serves, and balances to be carried over at the end of the year; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of the tentative budgets and the com-
pletion of all revisions made by the Board, the Board did prepare a
statement. -summarizing all of the tentative budgets. The summary
statement did show for each budget and for the total of all.budgets
proposed tax millages, the balances, the reserved, and the total of
each major classification of receipts and expenditures classified
according to the classification of accounts prescribed by the appro-
priate state agencies. This Board did cause said summary statement
to,be advertised as required by law; and
WHEREAS, said Board did meet in public hearing for the
purpose of hearing requests and complaints from the public regard-
ing the proposed budgets and making whatever revisions in the budget
it did deem necessary and all the same having been now completed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, That this Board does
herewith levy upon all of the real and personal taxable property
in Indian River County, Florida, for the Budget year 1976-77 a tax
of 4.3092 mills on the dollar to be.redistributed among the funds
in the budget as follows:

GENERAL FUND 2.0201 mills
ROAD AND BRIDGE FUND .3049 mills
FINES AND FORFEITURE FUND 1.9842 mills
TOTAL MILLAGE 4.3092 mills
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the millage as finally
adopted herein shall be filed in the office of the County
Auditor in the Public Records and the County Auditor shall
transmit forthwith a certified copy of this Resolution to the
Property Appraiser of Indian River County, to the Tax
Collector of Indian River County, and to the Department of
Revenue of the State of Florida.
This Resolution shall become effective as of the
8th day of September 1976.

THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED RESOLUTION No. 76-59 ESTABLISHING THE MILL -
AGE RATE FOR.THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT OPERATED BY THE
STATE BOARD OF HEALTH FOR THE BUDGET YEAR 1976-77.

RESOLUTION NO. 76-59
WHEREAS, all acts have been performed and all proceedings
have been carried out as required by law preliminary to the.Board
of County Commissioners establishing a millage rate for the Indian
River County Health Department operated by the State Board of
Health;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, That there shall be
and is.hereby levied upon all of the real and personal taxable
property in Indian River County, Florida, for the Budget year
1976-77, the tax of .1384 mills or 13.84 cents per thousand dollars
to be used in carrying out the purposes of the Indian River County
Health Department operated by the State Board of Health.
This Resolution shall become effective as.of the
8th day of September, 1976.
