RESOLUTION NO. 2004-149
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN
RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA REQUESTING
SUPPORT FOR CHANGES IN
LEGISLATION THAT WILL REQUIRE ALL
SECOND-SET (USED) MOBILE HOMES
RELOCATED WITHIN OR BROUGHT INTO
INDIAN RIVER COUNTY TO BE WIND
ZONE III CERTIFIED.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County
has made the following determinations:
Due to the recent devastating impact of Hurricane Frances and Hurricane
Jeanne to the Treasure Coast, and other counties throughout the State, the
Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County is requesting changes in
State Legislation as follows:
1 . All second-set (used) mobile homes relocated within or brought into
Indian River County must be Wind Zone III Certified.
2. An attempt to change the Wind Zone Classification for Indian River
County and all coastal counties as designated in the Installation for
Manufactured Housing Guide, from the current designation as a Wind Zone II
County to a Wind Zone III County would have to be done at the State level.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY,
FLORIDA, that:
y RESOLUTION NO. 2004=14q
1. Assistance is hereby requested to support changes in State
Legislation that would require all second-set (used) mobile homes relocated or
brought into Indian River County to be Wind Zone III Certified.
2. 'A copy of this Resolution will be sent to the Treasure Coast
Legislative Delegation by the Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners.
The resolution was moved for adoption by Commissioner Davis ,
and the motion was seconded by Commissioner Wheeler and, upon being
put to a vote, the vote was as follows:

The Chairman thereupon declared the resolution duly passed and
