A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A
CONSTRUCTION AGREEMENT FOR CONSTRUCTION, FOR THE
WIDENING OF 66TH AVENUE AT SR 60 WITHIN THE STATE RIGHT OF
WAY WITH THE STATE OF FLORIDA, DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the State of Florida, Department of Transportation has jurisdiction over
State Road 60 (20TH STREET) and Indian River County seeks to widen 66th Avenue at SR 60 to
provide for dual left turn lanes on the north approach and a single left and right turn lane on the
south approach. The improvements will also include the construction of a sidewalk and
modifications to the existing traffic signal at SR 60 and 66th Avenue.
WHEREAS, the COUNTY has reached an agreement with the State of Florida,
Department of Transportation ("the Department") for the construction improvements within SR 60.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Chairman of the
Board is hereby authorized to make, execute, and deliver to the State of Florida, Department of
Transportation, a Construction Agreement for the aforementioned project.
The foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner o' Bryan who moved its
adoption. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Wh e e 1 e r and, upon being put to a
vote, the vote was as follows:
