PRESENT WERE WILLIAM C. WODTKE, JR., CHAIRMAN; ALMA LEE Loy, VICE CHAIRMAN; WILLARD W. SIEBERT, JR.; AND EDWIN S. SCHMUCKER. ABSENT WAS R. DON DEESON. ALSO PRESENT WERE JACK G. JENNINGS, COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR; GEORGE G.. COLLINS, JR., ATTORNEY TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS; AND VIRGINIA HARGREAVES, DEPUTY CLERK. COUNTY CONSULTING ENGINEERS, DR. DAVID SMITH AND JAMES BEINDORF, WERE ALSO IN ATTENDANCE. • THE CHAIRMAN CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCED THAT IT IS BEING HELD FOR THE PURPOSE OF OPENING BIDS RECEIVED FOR THE COUNTY WATER SYSTEM, EDA PROJECT N0. 04-51-20869. COUNTY CONSULTING ENGINEERS HAD ESTIMATED A TOTAL COST FOR THE PROJECT OF $625,000.00. DAN MERIDITH OF MERIDITH CORPORATION ASKED IF HE COULD HAVE o AN ITEMIZED COST SHEET OF THE LOW BIDDER, AND DR. SMITH STATED THAT HE WILL DEVELOP A SPREAD SHEET WHICH CAN BE SUPPLIED TO THE BIDDERS. ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER Loy, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED THE ABOVE BIDS BEING REFERRED TO THE ADMINISTRATOR AND THE CONSULTING ENGINEERS FOR EVALUATION. AFTER FURTHER DISCUSSION, THE CHAIRMAN ANNOUNCED THAT THE AWARD OF BIDS WILL BE PUT ON THE AGENDA OF THE MEETING OF NOVEMBER 2, 1977, FOR 9:30 O'CLOCK A.M.
