HomeMy WebLinkAbout2011-097RESOLUTION NOv2011-_G97 A RESOLUTION OF THEB AR OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE TRANSMITTAL OF A PROPOSED INDIAN RIVER COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FUTURE LAND USE MAP AMENDMENT TO STATE AND REGIONAL REVIEW AGENCIES. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners adopted the Indian River County Comprehensive Plan on February 13, 1990, and WHEREAS, the county received comprehensive plan amendment applications during its July 20] 1 amendment submittal window, and WHEREAS, the Local Planning Agency held a public hearing on this comprehensive plan amendment request on September 22, 2011, after due public notice, and WHEREAS, the Local Planning Agency made a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners; and WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners held a Transmittal Public Hearing on October 18, 2011, after due public notice; and WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners announced at the transmittal public hearing its intention to hold and advertise a final public hearing at the adoption stage of the plan amendment process. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA THAT: 1. The above recitals are ratified in their entirety. 2. The following proposed amendment is approved for transmittal to State and Regional Review Agencies F:ACommunity Development\Comprehensive Plan Land Use Amendments\Orchid Quay, Highpointe, William Hunter- July 201 l\Resolution and Ordinance\Transmittal Resolution January 201 l.doc 1 of 3 RESOLUTION NO. 2011- 097 AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP BY CHANGING THE LAND USE DESIGNATION FOR ±28.56 ACRES, LOCATED APPROXIMATELY 900 FEET SOUTH OF C.R. 510 AND EAST OF 46 TII AVENUE AND U.S. #1, FROM MA, MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL -I (UP TO 8 UNITS/ACRE), TO C/I, COMMERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL; AND SIMULTANEOUSLY CHANGING THE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF ±9.21 ACRES, LOCATED SOUTH OF C.R. 510 AND EAST OF 46TH AVENUE, FROM C/I, COMMERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL, TO MA, MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL -I (UP TO 8 UNITS/ACRE); AND CHANGING THE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF ±20.11 ACRES, LOCATED APPROXIMATELY 1300 FEET SOUTH OF 65 rH STREET AND WEST OF THE FEC RAILROAD, FROM C/I, COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL, TO L-21 LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL -2 (UP TO 6 UNITS/ACRE), AND PROVIDING CODIFICATION, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. The forgoing Resolution was offered by Commissioner Ft escher and seconded by Commissioner Davis and upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: Bob Solari, Chairman ABSTAINED Gary C. Wheeler, Vice Chairman AYE Wesley S. Davis, Commissioner AYE Joseph E. Flescher, Commissioner AYE Peter D. O'Bryan, Commissioner AYE The Chairman thereupon declared the resolution duly passed and adopted at a public hearing held this 18±1' day of October 2011.
