Approved Certificate of Acceptance of Subgrant Award for the Substance
Abuse Administration Grant, in the amount of $13,058 and the Certificate
of Acceptance of Subgrant Award for the Indian River County Drug
Testing Grant in the amount of $38,784; and two agreements between the
Board of County Commissioners and the Substance Abuse Council of
Indian River County.
E. Approval of Bid Award for IRC Bid # 2006016 Annual Bid for Calcium
Hypochlorite – Utilities Department

Approved the award of the bid to Univar USA, Inc, authorized Purchasing
Division to issue blanket purchase orders for the period of October 1, 2005
through September 30, 2006 and authorized Purchasing Manager to
renew this Bid for two additional one year periods subject to satisfactory
performance, zero cost increase, vendor acceptance and the determination
of renewal of this annual contract in the best interest of Indian River
County.
F. Approval of Bid Award and Sample Agreement for IRC Bid #2006013
Hydraulic Improvements to Lift Station #109 (Includes improvements to Lift
Stations #108 & #115) – Utilities Department

Approved the award of the bid to Underground Utilities, Inc. in the
amount of $132,500 and approved the sample agreement and
authorization for the Chairman to execute said agreement when required
performance and payment bonds have been submitted along with the
appropriate certificate of insurance and the County Attorney has approved
the agreement as to form and legal sufficiency.
G. Communications Tower Lease with M/A COM

Approved agreement with M/A COM Inc. and authorized the Chairman to
execute the agreement and authorized staff to sign all acceptance and
necessary project documents.
H. Pine Grove Subdivision Request for Authorization for Staff to Call Letter of
Credit

Approved and adopted Resolution # 2005-173 authorizing staff to call the
existing Harbor Federal Savings Bank Letter of Credit in favor of Indian
River County in the amount of $118,185.50.

for Staff to Call Letter of Credit and/or Extend Expiration Date to Complete
Remaining Required Sidewalk Improvements

Approved and adopted Resolution # 2005-174 calling the existing Indian
River National Bank Letter of Credit in favor of Indian River County in
the amount of $40,282.20 and authorized a two year extension to the
Contract for Construction of Required Sidewalk Improvements provided
that the Developer execute an Extension to Contract for Construction of
Required Improvements, pay the required $445.00 fee for such extension
and deliver proper security to the County no later than November 16, 2005
in order to avoid the calling of the letter of credit.
