SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL DISTRICT
The Board of Commissioners of the Solid Waste Disposal District met at the County
Commission Chambers, 1801 27th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, October 23, 2007.
Present were Chairman Gary C. Wheeler, Vice Chair Sandra L. Bowden, Commissioners Wesley
S. Davis, Joseph E. Flescher, and Peter D. O'Bryan. Also present were County Administrator
Joseph A. Baird, County Attorney William Collins, II, and Deputy Clerk Athena Adams.
The Chairman called the meeting to order at 1:28 p.m.
14.B.1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES —MEETING OF SEPTEMBER18, 2007
ON MOTION by Vice Chair Bowden, SECONDED by
Commissioner Flescher, the Board unanimously approved
the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 18, 2007,
as written.
14.B.2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES — MEETING OF OCTOBER 2, 2007
This meeting was deleted from the Agenda.

14.B.3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES — MEETING OF OCTOBER 9, 2007
ON MOTION by Commissioner Flescher, SECONDED by
Commissioner O'Bryan, the Board unanimously approved
the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 9, 2007, as
written.
4.B.4. PROPOSAL FOR REMEDIAL ACTION PLAN MODIFICATION IMPLEMENTATION
AND OFF-SITE MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION FOR THE SOUTH GIFFORD
ROAD LANDFILL
ON MOTION by Vice Chair Bowden, SECONDED by
Commissioner Flescher, the Board unanimously approved
and authorized the Chairman to execute the GeoSyntec
Work Order No. 12, in the amount of $205,185.00 for the
Remedial Action Plan Modification implementation and
off-site monitoring well installation for the South Gifford
Road Landfill.
WORK ORDER IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD
