EMERGENCY SERVICES DISTRICT
The Board of Commissioners of the Emergency Services District met at the County
Commission Chambers, 1801 27th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, December 23, 2008.
Present were Chairman Wesley S. Davis, Vice Chairman Joseph E. Flescher, and Commissioners
Peter D. O'Bryan, Bob Solari, and Gary C. Wheeler. Also present were County Administrator
Joseph A. Baird, Deputy County Attorney William K. DeBraal, and Deputy Clerk Leona Adair
Allen.
Chairman Davis called the meeting to order at 9:57 a.m.
15.A.1. ASSISTANCE TO FIREFIGHTERS GRANT AWARD
ON MOTION by Commissioner O'Bryan, SECONDED by
Commissioner Flescher, the Board unanimously:
(1) approved the Assistance to Firefighters Grant funds in
the amount of $84,021; (2) authorized the matching -
expenditure of $21,005 from district funds; and
(3) authorized staff to execute and submit the required grant
reports, as recommended in the memorandum of December
9, 2008.
