EMERGENCY SERVICES DISTRICT
The Board of Commissioners of the Emergency Services District met at the County
Commission Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, June 5, 2007.
Present were Chairman Gary C. Wheeler, Vice Chair Sandra L. Bowden and Commissioners
Wesley S. Davis, Joseph E. Flescher and Peter D. O'Bryan. Also present were County
Administrator Joseph Baird, County Attorney William G. Collins II, and Deputy Clerk Athena
Adams
The Chairman called the meeting to order at 1:54 p.m.
14.A.1. HEALTH SCIENCE STUDENT(S) EXPERIENCE AGREEMENT
BETWEEN INDIAN RIVER COMMUNITY COLLEGE AND INDIAN
RIVER COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY SERVICES
ON MOTION by Commissioner O'Bryan, SECONDED by Vice
Chair Bowden, the Board unanimously approved the Health
Science Student(s) Experience Agreement with Indian River
Community College District Board of Trustees, as recommended
in the memorandum of May 29, 2007.

14.A.2. MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE FLORIDA
DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS
ON MOTION by Vice Chair Bowden, SECONDED by Chairman
Wheeler, the Board unanimously approved the Memorandum of
Agreement with the Florida Department of Corrections for
emergency situations and Fire Prevention activities at the Indian
River Correctional Institute, and authorized the Chairman to
execute said Agreement, as recommended in the memorandum of
May 25, 2007.
ALL BACKUP DOCUMENTATION IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD
AND IS HEREBY MADE A PART OF THESE MINUTES
15. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, on Motion duly made, seconded and carried, the Board
adjourned at 1:55 p.m.
