Said petition being signed by C T Fletcher and eight others.. -It -was ordered that said petition be accepted and filed and that C.T.Fletcher, S. Moods and D.L.1eisher be appointed a committee to view, mark and lay out the best route for this mad and report to this Board. The several bills and accounts against the County, having been audited, were examined and approved for payment and warrants ordered issued from the respective funds in settlement of same. The bills and accounts being on file in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court, and the warrants so drawn being listed completely in -the County Finance record as provided by law, reference to said County Finance Record and the list so recorded is made a part of these minutes as fully and completely as if the said warrants were listed herein in detail. The County Depository filed its monthly statement of receipts and disbursements, which having been checked by the County Auditor were found to be correct. There being no further business on motion made, seconded and carried the Board adjourned until the next regular meeting to be held Tuesday, 'September 16th 1930. Commissioners in and f or Indian River Countv, Florida, met at the Court House in Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday September 16th, 1930, with the following members of the Board present: Albert O.Helseth, Chairman; J.D.Yongue; J. W. LaBruce; J.J.P.Hamilton and John H. Atkin. Also present were biles Marren, Clerk and Clark S. Rice, Ma.eriff. The following petition was received, read and filed. ROAD PETITION STATE OF FLORIDA, ) COUNTY OF INDIAN RIVER) TO THE HONORABI3 BOARD OF COUNTY CONKISSIONERS OF SkID COUNTY: Gentlemen; We, the undersigned, citizens of 1he County of Indian River, State of Florida, respectfully represent that the necessities of the public require a County Road to be laid out as follows, to -wits - Commencing at S.W.Cor.of the MS of the ` 4 of _Sect.,23, T.32 R.39 E.9 Indian River County, and State of Florida. Run North- on quarter Section line to a point 870 ft. North of the point of beginning, said road to be not less than 25 feet in width. Said road to be not less than fifty feet in width. We therefore petition your honorable body to cause to be laid out and opened up a County Road as above described, and sue, the owners of the land through which said road is sought to be laid out, in consideration of the sum of One dollar to us each and severally in hand paid by the said County of Indian River, the receipt of which is h hereby acknowledged, hereby agree to give the right-of-way through our lands, as shown ,,by the plat accompanying this petition, and relinquish all claims for damage by I reason thereof. Said petition signed by A.E.Arnold and 5 others. It was ordered said petition be accepted and filed and A.E.Arnolcit Walter Bobo and D.L.Leisher be appointed a committee to view, mark and lay out the best route for this mad and report back to this Board. Fr" 324 m It was ordered that the Chairman be requested to sign application for the Inspect Bureau of Fire Underwriters Association to make special reduced insurance rate on the jail building. J.J.Schumann and Harry 'S.,Tones appeared before the Board requesteding Bridge across lateral "B" on road B-8. It was ordered the County Engineer construct this ,bridge- Just,, -as soon as he can get to this work. On motion made, seconded sad carried it was ordered that the Jail Building be accepted by the County from the Pauly Jail Building Company, the contractors, and the Clerk of this Board is instructed and authorized to forward balance of Time Warrants due the contractors in the sum of $6,000.00. The Clerk is instructed to write to the Pauly Jail Building Company in appreciation of the services rendered by their Mr. H. F. Garmon in connection with this wmrk. F. G. Fletcher submitted plans and specifications for the construction of a store roan and garage at the Jail. It was ordered that the Clerk prepare and publish advertisement to receive bids on Tuesday, October 7th 1930 for the construction of this store room and garage in accordance with such plans and specifications. On motion made, seconded and carried the Sheriff was instructed to install lights, telephone and purchase other equipment $ecessaary for the jail. D.,A.Murray and and seven other citizens signed statement and filed with this Board advising that protest would be filed against the opening up and laying out _ of a road at Winter Beach in Sections 10 and 11 in accordance vd.th petition filed before this Board on 'September 2nd 1930 and 'signed. by C W Fletcher and seven others, and which was acted favorably upon and C W Fletcher; S. Woods and D.D.Lei.sher were appointed a Committee to .view, mark and lay out. The labor pay rolls of the County Engineer were filed, and considered and approved and warrants ordered issued in settlement of same. The warrants so issued being, listed completely in the. County Finance record as provided by law, reference to such Finance Record and the list so recorded being made a part of these minutes as fully and completely as if the said warrants were set out herein in detail.
