FRIDAY, OCTOBER 31st 1934.
The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met at
the Court House in Vero Beach, at 2 o'olock P.M. with the following members of the Board
present: Albert 0. Helseth, Chairman; J.D.Yongue; J.W.DaBruce; J.J.P.Hamilton and John
H. Atkin. Also present were Miles Warren, Clerk and Clark B. Rice, :sheriff.
It was ordered that the name of George Nelson, stricken from the Registration books
of precinct #2, Sebastian, be restored it appearing that he had not removed from the
County.
The County Engineer was instructed to furnish the Sheriff a truck to haul bums
through the County.
The County Assessor of Taxes submitted the Tax rolls on real estate, and on auto-
mobiles to the Board of County Commissioners, and were examined, and approved, and the
following warrant was annexed to the tax roill on real estate and personal property, to -
wit: -

Tax Collector of the County of Indian River
You are hereby commanded to collect out of the Real Estate and personal
property, and from each of the persons and corporation named in the annexed roll' the
taxes set down in each roll opposite each name' corporation or parcel of land therein
described, and in case taxes so imposed are not paid at the time prescribed, by law,
you are to collect the same by 'levy and sale of the goods and chattels lands and ten-
ements so assessed, or of the person or corporation so taxed; and all sums colle ctdd
for the State taxes you are to pay to the State Treasure at such time as may be required
b:t law, and at the some time you are to pay to the legally qualified depositors all sums
collected for County Taxes, district School Taxes and othe-r special taxes; and you are
further required to make all collections on or before the first Monday in April; and on
or before the first Monday in July you are to make a final report to and settlement with

The following Warrant was annexed to the Automobile Tax Roll=

. The day being the General Election day, it was ordered the Board stand adjourned
until tomorrow mo rning at 10 o'clock.

WEDNESDAY, NOVZMR 4th 1930.
The Board of County commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met
at the Court House in Vero Beach, at 10 o'clock A .M . wedne slay, November 4th 1930,
pursuant to adjournment, with the following members of the Board p-resent:Albert O.
Helseth, Chainnan; J. D. Yongue; J. W. IaBruce; J.J.P.Hamilton and John H. Atkin.

The minutes
of the
previous
meetings
were
read and
approved.
It was ordered that the Indian River Farms Drainage District be pemmitted to
erect a store room on the County's tool house grounds, the County Engineer to locate
the site and the District agrees to remove the building when the County requests that
this be done.
County Agent, W.E.Evans, and Home Demonstration Agent, Miss Ethyl Holloway,
filed their monthly reports of activities.
yrs Robert M. Martin appeared requesting aid from the County while her husband
is serving a jail sentence for larceny. same was taken under consideration.
The County Tax Collector filed his monthly report of license collected showing
X1,536.65 collected for the state and 0793.33 collected for the County.
it was ordered the Insurance Board be authorized to write insurance on the jail
in the sum of V10, Q00, 00
It was ordered that George Nelson be given the authority to capture one Manatee
from the waters of the Indian River to be used for .scientific purposes.
It was ordered that no action be taken on the Mhos F. Palmer letter regarding
the drainage of his lands.
It was ordered that bridge be constructed on Road B-5.
It was ordered that the Roseland road be repaired just as soon as the County
Engineer is in that vicinity with the road machine.
The several bills and accounts against the Uounty, having been audited, were
examined and found correct were approved, and warrants ordered issued in settlement
of same. The bills and ; accounts so approved being on file in the office of the Clerk
of the Circuit Court. The warrants issued in settbementx of the various accounts
