AN ORDINANCE AMENDING INDIAN RIVER COUNTY ORDINANCE 73-4
SECTION 29(C), ZONING COMMISSION, BY ADDING AN ADDITIONAL
NAME TO THE COMMISSION, WHICH AS AMENDED, SHALL BE "THE
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION".
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN
RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that Indian River County Ordinance 73-4,
Section 29 C is hereby amended in toto as -follows:
SECTION 29 Administrative Provisions:
(C) ZONING COMMISSION
(1) There is hereby created a Planning and Zoning
Corr -mission for Indian River County, Florida, to be
composed of five members appointed as required by
the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River
County, by resolution.
(2) Members of the Planning and Zoning Commission
shall serve terms to be determined by the Board of
County Commissioners by resolution, and shall be
subject to removal from roffira by n i-hroa-fifithS
vote of the Board of County Commissioners. Vacancies
shall be filled by appointment by the Board of County
Commissioners for the unexpired term of any member
whose seat becomes vacant.
(3) Compensation
The Indian River County Planning and Zoning Com-
mission members shall serve without compensation but
shall be paid actual expenses which expenses shall not
exceed allowances as prescribed by State Law.
(4) Indian River County Planning and Zoning Commission
shall organize, adopt rules, and perform its duties as
called for by this Ordinance. Meetings shall be at the
call of the Chairman, Vice Chairman or Secretary or at
such times as a majority of the members may determine.
The Chairman, Vice Chairman or any acting Chairman may
administer oaths and compel the attendance of witnesses.
All meetings shall be open to the public. Three members
shall constitute a quorum and a majority vote of those
present shall determine any issue before the Commission.
THIS ORDINANCE SHALL TAKE EFFECT ON Decembbr 6 ,
1976.
