INDIAN RIVER COUNTY ORDINANCE NO. 71-4
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO PAYMENT TO THE CLERK OF THE
CIRCUIT COURT FOR SERVICES RENDERED BY THE CLERIC TO
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Indian River County,
Florida, serves also as the Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners
of Indian River County, Florida, and
WHEREAS, the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Indian River County,
Florida, performs many valuable, extra and, special services to the
Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, for
which he is not otherwise compensated as Clerk of the Circuit Court of
Indian River County, Florida, and for which this Board determines that
he should receive additional compensation therefor, and
WHEREAS, the laws of the State of Florida now permit the payment
of extra compensation to the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Indian River County,
Florida, for such additional and special services which he renders to the
Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY. FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River
County, Florida, shall pay to the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Indian
River County, Florida, for extra and special services performed for the

Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, which
he shall from time to time or regularly perform at the request of such
Board, and which are not his duties as Clerk of the Circuit Court of Indian
River County, Florida, or as ex -officio Clerk of the Board of County
Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida.

Section 2. The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River
County, Florida, shall allow and determine such extra and special
compensation as shall be paid to the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Indian
River County, Florida, which sum shall be fixed by motion of said Board
for such services as they are performed or authorized; provided, however,
that no such payment shall be made until such services are rendered or
such part of such services as is being compensated is rendered.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect October 20, 1971.
ENACTED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River
County, Florida, on the 20th day of October , 1971.
