HomeMy WebLinkAbout1978-39'INDIAN RIVER COUNTY ORDINANCE NO. 78-39 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP ADOPTED IN INDIAN RIVER COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE 71-3 BY THE REZONING OF PROPERTIES DESCRIBED BELOW AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, did publish and send its Notice of Intent to rezone the hereinafter described property and pursuant thereto held a public hearing in relation thereto, at which parties in interest and citizens were heard; and WHEREAS, there is a need in Indian River County to reduce the number of acres zoned Commercial to prevent excessive traffic congestion, business sprawl,excessive density of commercial development and to reduce the amount of commercially zoned property to a level consistent with the needs and,growth pattern of Indian River County; and WHEREAS, the economic value of existing agricultural and residential uses shall be maintained; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that Indian River County Ordinance 71-3, being the Zoning Ordinance of Indian River County, Florida, and the accompanying Zoning Map be amended as follows: 1. Morning Side Park Subdivision as recorded in Plat Book 1, page 93; and Tropical Village Estates Subdivision as recorded in Plat Book 4, page 94 less the area line of S.R. 512, lying within 270' South of the center 11, 13, 15 and 17, Block 2, and Lots and less Lots 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16, Block 3; And Tropical .8, Village Estates Subdivision Unit 2 as recorded in Plat Book 5, page 65 less the area lying within 270' South 512, referred to of the center line of S. R. all plats records of Indian River plats recorded in the public County, Florida; Be rezoned from C-1,'Commercial and A -Agriculture to R-1, Single Family District. 2. The West 1275' of Section -20, Twp. 31 S, Range 38 E line of S. R. 512; which lies within 660' of the center 610' of Section 20, Twp. 31 S, Range 38 E And the East which lies within the area 660' North of the center line of S.
