HomeMy WebLinkAbout1985-98ORDINANCE NO. 85 - 98 AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSION- ERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA ESTABLISH- ING BOUNDARIES FOR THE 50 ACRE COMMERCIAL/ INDUSTRIAL NODE LOCATED AT THE INTERSECTION OF HOBART ROAD AND U.S. HIGHWAY #1 AS GENERALLY DESCRIBED IN THE TEXT OF THE LAND USE ELEMENT AND DEPICTED ON THE LAND USE MAP OF THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE COUNTY'S COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; PROVIDING FOR THE BOUNDARY MAP, THE DESCRIPTION OF THE NODE AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Board Of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida have amended the County's Comprehensive Plan to provide for establishing boundaries for every commer- cial, commercial/industrial, industrial, tourist/commercial, and hospital/commercial node; and WHEREAS, The Planning and Zoning Cor -mission has held a public hearing and subsequently made a recommendation to establish boundaries for this node; and, WHEREAS, The Board of County Co-.missioners has held a public hearing on these proposed boundaries at which parties in interest and citizens had an opportunity to be heard; and, WHEREAS, The Board of County CO,-unissioners is empowered to adopt these boundaries to assist in the ir-plem.entation of the County's Comprehensive Plan; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, that: SECTION I The attached map labeled as "Attachment A" and the description labeled as "Attachment B" shall be the official boundaries of the 50 acre Commercial/ Industrial Node located at the intersection of Hobart Road and U.S. Highway $1. SECTION 2 EFFECTIVE DATE The provisions of this ordinance shall become effective upon receipt from the Florida Secretary of State of official acknowledgment that this ordinance has been filed with the Department of State. Approved and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida on the lith day of December 1985.
