A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER
COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE TRANSMITTAL OF PROPOSED INDIAN RIVER
COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FUTURE LAND USE MAP AMENDMENTS, TO THE
STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners adopted the Indian River County
Comprehensive Plan on February 13, 1990, and
WHEREAS, the county received comprehensive plan amendment applications during its January
2009 amendment submittal window, and
WHEREAS, the Local Planning Agency held a public hearing on this comprehensive plan
amendment request on April 9, 2009, after due public notice, and
WHEREAS, the Local Planning Agency made a recommendation to the Board of County
Commissioners; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners held a Transmittal Public Hearing on May 19,
2009, after advertising pursuant to F.S. 163.3184(15)(b)(1); and
WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners announced at the transmittal public hearing its
intention to hold and advertise a final public hearing at the adoption stage of the plan amendment
process.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA THAT:
1. The above recitals are ratified in their entirety.
2. The following proposed amendments are approved for transmittal to the State of Florida
Department of Community Affairs.

A. AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP TO REDESIGNATE
APPROXIMATELY 16.22 ACRES LOCATED AT 7770 JUNGLE TRAIL
FROM L- 1, LOW-DENSITY RESIDENTIAL -1 (UP TO 3 UNITS/ACRE), TO C-
1, CONSERVATION -I DISTRICT (0 UNITS/ACRE); (Appendix A)
B. AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP TO REDESIGNATE
APPROXIMATELY 47.25 ACRES LOCATED AT 800 GARDENIA STREET
FROM C-2, CONSERVATION -2 DISTRICT (UP TO IUNIT/40ACRE) AND C-
3, CONSERVATION -3 DISTRICT (UP TO 1 UNIT/2.5 ACRES), TO C-1,
CONSERVATION -1 DISTRICT (0 UNITS/ACRE); (Appendix B)
The county does request that the Florida Department of Community Affairs review this
comprehensive plan amendment.
The forgoing Resolution was offered by Commissioner 0' Bryan and seconded by
Commissioner Fl escher and upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows:

The Chairman thereupon declared the resolution duly passed and adopted at a public hearing held
this 19th day of May 2009.
