CALL TO ORDER 1:30 P.M.
(PUBLIC HEARING) SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL DISTRICT (SWDD)
1. PROOF OF PUBLICATION OF ADVERTISEMENT FOR HEARING IS ON FILE
IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD
Chairman Davis convened the Public Hearing for the Solid Waste Disposal
District (SWDD).
Administrator Joseph Baird announced that the Fiscal Year 2015-2016
proposed budget is $13,137,435, an increase of $1,452,207 from last year;
and he listed the following proposed SWDD rates:
• Residential Equivalent Residential Unit (ERU) - $102.61, an increase of
$22.67
• Commercial Waste Generation Unit (WGU) - $35.55, an increase of$1.50
• Readiness-to-Use Fee - $19.96, an increase of$0.59
Commissioner Zorc asked when would the County factor in the bonus life of
the landfill cell for opening and closing costs based on the new recycling
program going forward.
Administrator Baird said there was a requirement that the County book the

costs every year based on the landfill capacity, and a survey was done each
year.
The Chairman opened the Public Hearing. There being no speakers, the
Chairman closed the Public Hearing.
ON MOTION by Commissioner O'Bryan, SECONDED by Chairman
Davis, the Board unanimously approved the proposed Solid Waste Disposal
District rates at: $102.61 for Residential E.R.U.; $35.55 for Commercial
W.G.U.; and $19.96 for Readiness-to-Use Fee, as stated and recommended
by staff.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the Chairman declared the meeting adjourned at 1:36 p.m.
