Helseth, Charman; J.D.Yongue; . J.W.LaBPruce; J.J.P.Hamilton and Eli C. Walker. .Also present were Miles Warren, Clerk and Clark S..,Rice, ,Sheriff. The minutes, of the previous meetings were read and, with corrections, were approved. Miss Ethyl Holloway, Home Demonstration Agent .appeared before the Board and made statements regarding her work in this County. Dr. P. T. McClellan appeared before the .Board regarding bili. for professional services.rendered A.T.Thompeon, a prisoner in the City Jail of .$5.00. Also requested that some action be taken by the Board with respect to James Ruffin a County road employee, who Dr. McClellan states is indebted to him for professional services rendered more than two years ago. It was moved, seconded and carried that James Ruffin be instructed to settle account between he and Dr. McClellan., Mrs Jessie Yates appeared before the Board regarding a widow's pension. It was moved, seconded and carried that Mrs. John Yates allowance be reduced from $30.00 to $20.00 per month; that pauper Thomas Herring (negro) be reduced from $20.00 to $10.00 per month, and that Mrs. Jessie Yates be placed on the pauper list to receive $30.60 per month, and that she file application to be placed on the mothers' pension list. It was moved, seconded and carried that M.R.Snight be selected as Warden for County Prisoners serving jail sentences in this County. It was ordered that $50.00 be accepted for Model "T" Ford Roadster, and it was fur - ther ordered that it be placed in the petty cash fund of the Road Superintendent for use when needed. The following items were received: T. H. Sibley, for rent -of County Tractor $263.64. It was ordered placed in the Road & Bridge Fund. It was moved, seconded and carried that bills and accounts for moving the County records and equipment, and for alterations of new Court House quarters be approved in full and warrants issued in'settlement of same as soon as the funds are available. Those voting for the motion Commissioners Yongue; Hamilton and Walker. Bays: LaBruce and Helseth. The following resolution was then introduced by Commissioner Hamilton who moved it's addption: WHEREAS the incidental and contingency items of the General Revenue Fund appear to be exhausted in the present budget, and bills and accounts are now on hand already approed dor payme to'be paid out of these two items, and WHEREAS, there appears and will remain a balance at the end of the budget year in the items of Salary of Clerk to Board of County Commissioners; salary of Attorney for the Board and the County burse salary and expenses, EHUMPOF 9 BE it Resolved by the Board of County Commissioners that the sum of $250.00 be transferred from the item of Salary of Clerk to the Board $50.00 from the item of salary of County Attorney and $19000.00 from the item of County Nurse and placed in the item of Incidental expenditures of the General Revenue Fund, in order to meet the requirements of this item. The resolution being seconded by Commissioner Walker, the vote as taken being as follows: Yeas: Com'rs. Yongue; Hamilton and Walker. Rays; Com'r LaBruce. The several bills and accounts against the County, having been audited, were examined and found to be correct, were approved and warrants ordered issued in settlement of same. ,/ a The said bills and accounts being on file in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court. The warrants issued in settlement of same, being recorded completely in the County Finance Record, as provided by law, reference to such record -and the list so recorded being..made a part of these minutes as fully and completely as if the said warrents were.set_out,herein in detail. The County_ Depositary filed its monthly statement showing receipts and disbursements of the various funds, which having been checked over was found to be correct. There being no further business on motion made, seconded and carried the Board N adjourned. n a Clerk. 1 _ Cirri _ "' an • y tl Mme , WAY 11th 1931. r The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met at P the Court House in Vero Beach, at 2:00 o'clock P.M.Monday, May llth 19319 with the a following members of the Board present: Albert 0. Helseth, Chaizman; T.D.Yongue; J.J.P. h Hamilton; J.TJeBruce and Eli C. Walker. Also present were Miles Uarrenq Clerk and Clark S. Rice, Sheriff. Commissioner Walker announced he desired to refund to the County the sum of $3.70 expended by this Board out of the Agricultural Fund on account of expenses incurred by the County Home Demonstration Agent in placing an exhibition of her work at the County District Fair recently held in Vero Beach. A check for this amount was received from Mr. Walker and ordered placed in the Agricultural Fund. The Notary Public bond of John W.E.Wheeler in the sum of $500.00 with United 'States Fidelity & Guaranty Company, a corporation, as surety was approved. It me moved, seconded and carried that rent on rooms in the Court House be set at $10,00 per month per room. It was moved, seconded and carried that the Sheriff be made official custodian of the Court House Building without pay.
