HomeMy WebLinkAbout1996-152 b ` 19/96(REBO\hOris)LEGIAL(WGC/ahr) RESOLUTION NO. 96. 152 A RESOLUTION ON THE BOARD 01 COUNTY C0106IEBIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER Comm, FLORIDA, DESIGNATING THE "INDIAN RIVER COUNTY HORIZONTAL CONTROL NETWORK". WHBRSAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida has adopted an ordinance set cut a■ Indian River County Code Section 913.07(6) (D) (10); and WHEREAS, said ordinance requires newly platted developments within one Mile of a monument established in the Indian River County Horizontal Control Network to be tied into that network; and WHEREAS, it is appropriate that the "indian River County Horizontal Control Network" be officially designated; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, that the "Indian River County Horizontal Control Network" consists at this time of 52 monuments meeting Second Order Class ii Standards as published by the National Geodetic Survey and shown on the attachment to this resolution, and further described in a 1995 survey conducted by GCY, Inc., placed throughout Indian River County by GCY, Inc., under contract to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and in cooperation with the County, which monument positions were established using global positioning satellites and adjustments accomplished using the National Geodetic Survey software. The monuments within the "network" were tied to the Florida High Precision Network, the City of Vero Beach GPS network, and to St. Lucie and Brevard Counties GPS networks. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, since the Network is dynamic, tie-ins to the Indian River County Horizontal Control Network will be deemed for all intents and purposes to densify the Network. The foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner Eggert and seconded by Commissioner _ Tlpp1n and, upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: Chairman Fran B.
