G.R.Olmstead, Tax Collector appeared regarding premium on official bond which amount to $200.00 per year, and for payment of electric adding machine in his office.. Geo W. Walters appeased regarding Ford car used by the County Nurse. It was moved, seconded and carried that the car be placed in the County barn and dispose of same by sale as soon as possible for $175.00 or better. It was ordered'Mrs L.J.Holland be placed on the pauper list to receive the sum of 020.00 per month. The ;State Auditor's report of the office of County Judge was received and ordered filed in the public records of the County. The Board of County -Commissioners then adjourned until Wednesday, July 8th, 1931 at 10 o'clock A.M. ATTEST: rman Clerk. Helseth, Chairman; J.D.Yongue; J.W.LaBruce; J.J.P 4. Hamilton and Eli C. Walker. Also present were Miles Warren, Clerk and Clark S. Rice, Sheriff. It was ordered that warrant be drawn on General Revenue fund for the sum of $5.00 ;payable to Commissioner Yongue to reimburse him for amount paid for this Board becoming members of the State Association of County Commissioners. Commissioner Yongue advising he did not wish the Board to take this action. It was moved by Commissioner Hamilton and seconded by Commissioner 67alker that the County burse car be traded for one 157 inch wheel base Chevrolet Truck at an allowance of - 250.00 for the car and the balance of $435.00 to be paid in cash upon delivery of the truck. Upon being put to a vote those favoring the motion being Com'rs. Hamilton, Yongue and Walker. Those voting no: Com'rs. laBruce and Helseth. The following Road Committee report was received, read and filed: ROAD COITTEE REPORT. We, the undersigned, committee, appointed by your Robe Body on the 7th day of Aprils 19319 with instructions to view and mark out the best route for a public road, 'described in the petition as follows' to -wit: Beginning at the S. The following resolution was introduced by Commissioner Valker, who moved its adoptions REAS& there does not appear to be sufficient funds available to pay pensions to worthy mothers for the remainder of the fiscal year ending September 30th 1931, 'sand REAS, there ,does not appear sufficient funds available in the General Revenue Fund of the County to pay paupers and necessary operating expenses of the County for the same period* and WM EAS, no Publicity expenditures and no agricultural activities will be carried G f 364 , on by this Board for the remainder of this budget year, and a surplus of funds appear in both the publicity Fund and the Agricultural Funds of the Gountyp THEREFORE' BE IT RESOLVED: That, the sum of $200:00 be transferred from the Publici fund to the�;�]�d#therb! Pension Funds ar4 the sum ®f $320.00 be transferred from the I�abliei Fund to the General Revenue Fund and the soot of $525.00 be transferred from the Agricul- tural Fund to the General Revenue Fund to meet the expenditures in said funds for the remainder of this fiscal year. Such transfers to be made only after the approval of sem by the State Comptroller. WhichYesolution was seconded by Commissioner Hamilton and unanimously adopted. The several bills and accounts against the County, having been audited, were examine and found correct were approved and warrants issued in settlement of same. The bills and accounts being on file in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court. The warrants issued in settlement of the bills and accounts being listed completely in the County Finance Record as, provided by law, reference to such finance record and - the list so recorded being made a part of these minutes as fully and completely as. if the same were set out herein in detail. The County Depository filed its monthly statement of the various funds showing the receipts and disbursements for the month of June, which having been checked were found to be correct. The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County met in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court at Vero Beach in the County of Indian River on this 13th day of July 1931, at the following County Commissioners were presents Albert 0. Helseth, Chairman; J.D.Yongue; J.W.LaBruce; J.J.P.Ha;mtlton and Eli C. Walker. The Board continued as a Board of Equalizers for the purpose of hearing complaints and receiving testimony as to the value of any propegty, real, personal or mixed, as fi by the County Tag Assessor of taxes for assessment for the es of the year 19319 the owners and agents of property, who appeared for that purpose, were allowed.. to make; full and complete statements as to the valuation of the property owned or represented by them and the Tax Assessor and the members of the Board having fully discussed the statements facts as presented decided to make no change in the assessment rolls and prepared by the Tax assessor. It was thereupon ordered that the Tax Assessor be. and is hereby instructed to assess ]'the property at the valuation fixed by himself as Tax Assessor.exThett&x baokscbetagarek talbe returned to the Tax Assessor for the purpose of extending. the taxes thereon, after the preparation of the budget, same was returned to him. It was thereupon further ordered, that the matter of preparing the budget for the fiscal. year October lst 1931 --September 30th 1932 be carried over until such time as the State legislature, now in extra -ordinary session, passes the necessary legislation with respect to. the various millages, both State and County. A.E.Sueverkruebbe ' appeared before the Board and informed them that as a tax payer citizen he was opposed to the employment of a County Agricultural Agent and Home Demons tion agent.
