A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, N ft6ft&
FLORIDA, EXPANDING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE
COUNTY SEAT TO ENCOMPASS THE PROPOSED
LOCATION OF THE TAX COLLECTOR'S NEW OFFICE o
IN LURIA'S PLAZA. o

WHEREAS, Section 30.10, Florida Statutes, requires that the place of N
office of every County officer shall be at the County seat of the County;and o
WHEREAS, the proposed new location of the office of the Tax Collector Is
just outside the boundaries of the City of Vero Beach, which is the County seat;
and
WHEREAS, the County seat may be expanded pursuant to Section 138.12,
Florida Statutes; coo

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY 'T'o
COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the geographic CL
location of the County seat is hereby expanded beyond the corporate limits of the 72
City of Vero Beach to include the location of the proposed new office of the Tax
Collector of Indian River County, the location of which is more particularly shown W
on the attached Exhibit"A." o
,. After two public hearings held on August 18, 1998, and September 1, 1998,
'A o .4 the resolution was moved for adoption by Commissioner M a c h t , and the
.� motion was seconded by Commissioner F ay e r t , and, upon being put to
p o a vote,the vote was as follows:
