The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met at
the Court House in Vero Hench, at 2:00 o'clock r.A.Friday, January 22nd 1932, in speci
meeting with the following members of the i3 oard present: Albert U. helseth, Chairman;
J.D.Yongue; J.w.LaBruee; J.J.P.namilton and Ali C. walker. also present were Miles
warrens Clerk and C. S. Rios, sheriff.
IS. U. Thatcher, representing the Farmers Bank of Vero beach appeared before the
Board respecting the County funds now in such .Bank. After carefully considering the
matter, it was moved, and seconded that the agreement of the Bank to freeze the deposit:
that were on hand on november 7th 1931 be accepted, subject to the approval of the *Stat
Comptroller, with the exception of paragraphs b and 6, and the Chairman and Clerk are
authorized and directed to execute same. Those voting for the motion being Commissioners
LaBruce; Hamilton; sulker and Helseth. Those voting against the motion being Commissio e
Yongue.
It was moved, seconded and carried unanimously that a tax rate of 5 additional mil
be levied, assessed and is hereby imposed upon all of the property, real and personal
lying and being within the boundaries of the Atlantic -Gulf especial Road. & Bridge Distri
for the year 1931, such 5 mills additional being in addition to the lb mills tax! levied
by this Board for the year 1931 on September lst 1931, and making a total of 20 mills,
for such said Special District.
