TUESDAY 9 FEBRUARY 2nd 1932.
The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Ylorida, met at
the Court House in Nero Beach, at 10 o'clock A.M. Tuesday, February 2nd 1932, with the
following members of the Board present: Albert 0. Helseth, Chairman; J.D.Yongue; J.w,
Lat3ruce; J.J.P.Hamilton and Eli C. Walker. .Also present were Miles Warren, Clerk and
Ulark ks. Rice, sheriff.
The minutes of the previous meetings were read and approved.
A.O:Greynolds, representing A.O.Greynolds, Inc., a corporation, appeared before
the Board with reference to the account of this Company against the County, which has
been approved, it was ordered that the Clerk and Chairman execute to this Company a
certificate of indebtedness showing the amount due and to be paid.
A list of Confederate pensioners residing in Indian Hiner County, was received from
the state Pension Board, and the same having been carefully checked over were found to
be correct and the list submitted was duly approved.
The reports of the Assistant .state Auditor of the various offices of the County
were presented to the Board and read in full in open meeting. The same were ordered
filed as a part of the public records of the County, and the Clerk advised the State
&.udito r of such action.
It was moved, seconded and carried that the road machine be used to dig ditch
through `i'.W.Addington's farm provided he will give an easement to those interested for
such ditch, and at no expense to the County.
E.W.Shrewsbury appeared before the Board requesting permission to erect a house
at the East end of the Vero Bridge on the South side of the road. It was moved, sec-
onded and carried that authority iwe given him to erect a house at this point, if agree-
able with the City authorities.
J. J. Schumann, Editor of the Press -Journal appeared and requested that the State
Auditor's reports be published in full, and offered to do this at a price of 040.00
for all offices affected. No definite action was taken.
It was ordered that a bridge be constructed over Lateral OA" on :north Gifford road,
provided those interested will put up $250.00 for this project to be refunded to them
when taxes are collected and placed in the Road & Bridge Fund of sufficient amount to
make the re -payment.
It was ordered that the Chairman and Clerk look into the matter of a County Deposi-
tory should the occasion arise and report back to this Board.
The SherEff ' s criminal costs bills and bill for feeding prisoners for January 1932,
were approved.
The County Judge filed his report of fees received for the six months ending
December 31st 1931, which is as follows:

There being no further business on motion made, seconded and carried the .Board
adjourned.

DNEESDAY, FEBRUARY 17th 1932.
The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian hive r County, Florida, met at t
Court House in Vero Beach, at 2:00 o'clock P.M.v ednesday, February 17th 1932, in special
session on call of Ule Chairman, with the following members.' of the Board present: Albert
O. nelseth, Chairman; J.D.Yongue; JaijaBruce; J.J.P.tiamilton and Eli C. Walker. Also
present were Miles warrens Clerk and Clark S►o nice, bheriff.
The Chairman announced the call of this special meeting was made for the purpose of
;designating a County Depository and to go into the question of turning over the 196 1 tax
roll to the Tax Collector when the same is completed.
Ralph Sedgwick, Cashier of the Faxmers Bank of Nero Beach appeared before the Board
regarding the designation of that Bank as County Depository. After considerable dis-
cussion, it was moved, seconded and carried that the Barnett National Bank of Cocoa,Flas
be designated County Depository, with the understanding that Federal bonds be deposited
with the state Comptroller in tjie sum of X10,000.00 as a qualification and that addition
security be deposited, as, if and when required.
The question of delivering the 1931 tax roll to the Tax Collector was discussed at
length, and after carefully considering .the same, on Motion of Commissioner LaBruce, whi
was duly seconded, it was ordered that the Clerk ,be instructed to write the Governor
requesting instructions as to turning over the 1931 tax roll to the rax Collector and to
call his attention to the State Auditorlls .report recently prepared and filed.
In . compliance with law, the Board proceeded ,to examine the public officials bonds
of the County as to their sufficiency, of sureties, .and all were found sufficient with
the exception of C.A.Vandiveer, mezribex of the School Board, and the Clerk was instructed

to request him to file additional bond, The bond of Gordon R. Olmstead, as lox Collector
was passed temporarily.
