The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County met in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court at Vero Beach, in the County of Indian River, on this 4th day of July, 1932, and the following County Commissioners were present: Albert 0. Helseth, Chairman. Also present were Miles Warren, Clerk amd W. R. Duncan, Bounty Assessor of taxes. A quorum of the Board not being present, the Board adjourned until Tuesday, July 5th 1932 at 10 o'clock A.M. The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County met in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court at Vero Beach, in the County of Indian River on this 5th day of July 19329 and the following members of the County Commissioners were present: Albert 0, Helseth, Chairman; J. D. Yongue; J. W. LaBruce; J.J.P.Hamilton and Eli C. Walker. Also present were Miles Warren, Clerk amd W. R. Duncan, County Assessor of Taxes. The minutes of the previous meetings were read and approved. It was ordered that Inspectors and Clerks of election and Deputy Sheriff at the polls be paid as follows, f or the respective presincts: Precincts # 1--2--3--4--5--6 and 89$3.00 each and Precinct #7 $2.00 each. It was ordered that Tax sale certificate 46.492 sale of July 1928, be sold to A. Rass for the sum of $15.86. On account of the condition of the finances of the County, it Vas deemed advisable to revise the amounts being paid to paupers by the County, and after careful considera- tion the following amounts were ordered paid to the respective persons until the order of this Board: William Yates..*6...$10.00 per month Mrs L.J.Holland..... 15.00 Jessie Yates........ 20.00 R. Be Gay........... 8.00 Mrs Ida Futch....... 8.00 The Board further ordered Mrs Ida V Linson be stricken from the pauper list, it appearing she has not called for her monthly warrant in more than three months last past. 1 1 1 L7 1 71 It appearing to the satisfaction of the Board t4at N. F. McCall and Mrs Julia Kennedy, are in need of assistance at this time, it mas ordered that each be placed on the pauper list to receive the sum of $8.00 per month, until the further orders of this Board. On account of the financial condition of the County, it was deemed advisable to revise the amounts now being paid to the several people receiving aid from the County out of the MOTHERS' PENSION FUND, and after carefully considering the same it was ordered that the following persons, now receiving aid from this fund, be paid the amounts as indicated: Mrs Annie Park ....... $10.00 per month Mrs Anna Mohr:....... 12.00 Mrs Ada :Stokes....... 12.00 Mrs Bessie Knight.... 12.00 Mrs Mattie Ingram.... 12.00 It was ordered that the name of Goo. T. Tippin be submitted to the Commissioner of Agriculture' for appointment as Agricultural Enumerator for Indian River County,for the year 1932. Payment of such services to be made by the State of Florida. The following resolution was adopted: WHEREAS, on account of the non-payment of taxes, and the limited amount that can be levied for the Mothers Pension Fund, together with the unusual demand made ypon such fund for the payment of Pensions to worthy mothers , such fund is now almost depleted; and WREREAS, there appears to be a reasonable balance in the Publicity Fund, from which no expenditures are contemplated during the remainder of the present fiscal year, and nothing has been placed in the next succeeding budget as contemplated expenditures from such fund, TUMFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the sum of $475.00 be transferred from the PUBLICITY FUND to the MOTHERS PENSION FM, upon the approval only of the 'State Comp- troller, in order that sufficient funds be available to meet the monthly demands made upon said fund. Upon being put to a vote the foregoing resolution was unanimously adopted. The several bills and accounts against the County having been audited, were examined and found correct, were approved and warrants ordered issued in settlement of same. Such bills and account being on file in the office of the Clerk Circuit Court. The war- rants, issued from the respective funds being listed completely in the County Finance Record as provided by law, reference to such record and the list so recorded being made a part of these minutes as fully and completely as if the ' same were set out herein in detail.
