Resolved, further, that a copy. of this resolution be forwarded to the Hon. Doyle E. Carlton, Governor and that a copy be delivered to Ron. Gordon R. Olmstead, Tax Collector of Indian River County, Florida: Upon further consideration of matters with respect to the Tax Collector's office, it was ordered by the Board that C. P. Diamond as Attorney for the Board be instructed to make demand upon the Columbia Casualty Company for the immediate payment of the .amount of its bond as Surety for the Tax Collector to the County of Indian River on account of the shortages of the Tax Collector as shown by the editors report, and that upon its failure or refusal to mkae such payments in a rea:asomble time, to insti- tute suit for he c©ll.edtion of such bond. it was ordered that Tax S€ale._.certificate No -931 be sold for $8.94 There being no further business the Board then aadjo edo' ATTEST: Chi rn o Clerk. TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 6th 1932. The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met at the Court House in Vero Beach, at 10:00 o'clock A.M.Tuesday, September 6th 19329 with the following members of the Board present: !Albert 0. Helseth, Chairman; J.D. Yongue; J.W.LaaBruce; J.J.P.Hamilton and Eli C. Walker. Also present were Miles Warred, Clerk and Clark S. Rice, Sheriff. The minutes of the previous meeting was read and approved. Angus 'Sumner, State Attorney appeared before the Board regardiftg alleged short in the Tax Collector's account. The Board advised the State Attorney he would be called to meet with them when the Assistant State Auditor, now at work, completes the present audit being made. The Notary Public bond of Josephine Scherer in the sum of 0500.00 with American Surety Company, a corporation, as surety was approved. The following resolution was introduced: YMREAS, on account of the failure -to collect a large percentage of the taxes extended on the 1931 tax roll there appears a deficit in the General Revenue Fund and the Road & Bridge Fund of the County, both of which funds are virtually exhausted at this time, and WHEREAS, there appears a balance of $120.03 in the Publicity Fund, and a balance of $275.28 in the Agricultural Fund, and no expenditures contemplated from either of said funds for the remainder of the fiscal year, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners, in regular session, that the sum of $120.03 be transferred from the Publicity Fund to the GENE REVENUE FUND, and the ! bm of $275.289 be transferred from the Agricultural Fund to the ROAD & BRIDGE FUND, to meet the current obligations against each of said funds. Such transfer to be made only upon the approval of the Comptroller. The bills and accounts being on file in the office of the Clerk Circuit Court, and the warrants so issued being listed completely in the County Finance record as provided by law, reference to said record and the list so recorded being made a part of these minute., as fully and completely as if the same were set out herein in detail. The County Depository filed its monthly report of receipts and disbursements, whi having been checked over were found to be correct.
