The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met at
the Court House in Vero Beach, at 10 o'clock A.M.Tuesday, October 3rd 1932, with the
following members of the Board. presents Albert 0. Helseth, Chairman; J.D.Yongue; J.71.
LaBruee; JeJ.P.Hamilton and Eli C. Walker. Also present were Miles "Marren, Clerk and
Clark S. Rice, She riff.
The minutes of the previous meetings were read and approved.
The Notai-j Public bond of Leila Gray in the sum of $500.00 with The Columbia
Casualty Company, a corporation, as surety was approved.
Vocelle & Mitchell, attorneys for E.L.Hamilton submitted a letter requesting pay-
ment of $46.50 alleged to be due him from the County for work on the roads. The Clerk
was requested to advise the attorneys that Hamilton was substituting for his brother
Eddie Hamilton during the time he was working, and the pay -roll carried the name of Ed
Hamilton which was apparently agreeable with each of the two men.
It was ordered '7.A.Martin, Oslo, be placed on the pauper list to receive $6.00

per month, until further order of the Board.
It was ordered Be C. Btalvey, Vero Beach, be placed on the pauper list to receive
012.00 per month, until the further order of the Board.
Application of Mrs Eva Helen Vojtik, to be placed on the Mothers Pension list was
received, and being in due form, it was ordered she be placed on such list to receive
the sum of $12.00 per month, until further order of the Board.
On account of the failure of a large number of property owners to pay taxes, as
well as the failure of the Florida East Coast Railway Coop to pay taxes for the year
1931, and on account of the limited amount that can be levied, as well as the limited
amount set out in the budget for the payment of paupers and the mothers pension, it
was deemed advisable, that those now receiving such aid be reduced to the following:

The several bills and accounts against the County, having been audited, were
examined and found correct, were app roved and warrants ordered issued in settlement of
same. The bills and accounts being on file in the office of the Clerk Circuit Court.
The warrants so issued from the respective funds, being listed completely in the County
finance record as provided by law, reference to said record and the list so recorded
being made a part of these minutes, as fully and completely as if the same were set out
herein in detail.

The Depository statements for the month of September, having been filed, were
checked over and found to be correct.
There being no further business the Board adjourned until Mondays October 10th,
1932 at 9:00 o'clock A.M.

Clerk and Clark S. Rice, Sheriff.
The Tax Assessor submitted the tax roll for the year 1932, which was approved,
and the following warrant annexed to said roll:
THE STATE OF FLORIDA,
To Troy E. Moody,
Tax Collector of the County of Indian River.
You are hereby commanded to collect out of the real estate and personal property,
and from each of the persons and corporations named in the annexed roll, the taxes set
down in each roll opposite each name, corporation or parcel of land therein described,
and in case taxes so imposed are not paid the time prescribed by law you are to collect
the same by levy and sale of the goods and chattels, lands and tenements so assessed,
or of the person or corporation so taxed, and all sums collected for the State taxes
you are to pay to the State Treasurer at such time as may be required by law, and at
the same time you are to pay to the legally qualified Depository all sums collected for
County taxes, District school taxes, and other special taxes; and you. are further
required to make all collections on or before the first monday in April; and on or
before the first Monday in July you will make a final report to and settlement with
the Comptroller and County Commissioners.

Intangible Personal Property, whiehsi��was approved, and the following warrant annexed
to said roll:

property assessment RoK, the taxes set down in each roll opposite each name of person
firm or corporation therein described, and in case taxes so imposed are not paid, at
the time presci-ibed by law, you are to collect the same by levy, and sale of the goods
and chattels, lands and tenements of the person, firm or corporation so taxes; and all
sums collected for the State taxes you are to pay to the State Treasurer at such time
