VALUE ADJUSTMENT BOARD (VAB) MEETING
COUNTY ADMINISTRATION BUILDING "A", CONFERENCE ROOM Al -102
MONDAY, JANUARY 23, 2017
The Value Adjustment Board (VAB) of Indian River County, Florida, met on Monday,
January 23, 2017, at 8:30 a.m., in the County Administration Building, 1801 27th Street,
Building A, Room 102, Vero Beach, Florida. The purpose of this meeting was to elect a
Chairman and Vice -Chairman of the VAB. Present were Commissioner Susan Adams;
Commissioner Bob Solari; School Board Member Charles Searcy; and Citizen Members
Duane Weise and Todd Heckman.
Also present were VAB Attorney Michelle Napier; Clerk of the Circuit Court and
Comptroller Jeffrey R. Smith; VAB Clerks Terri Collins -Lister and Shelli Gagnon.
1. CALL TO ORDER
Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller Jeffrey R. Smith called the meeting to
order.
2. INVOCATION — Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller Jeffrey R. Smith
Mr. Smith delivered the Invocation.
3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - Commissioner Bob Solari
Commissioner Solari led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

4. INTRODUCTIONS
Introductions were made by all present.
5. ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN AND VICE CHAIRMAN
(Pursuant to F.S. 194.015 — The Chairman Shall Be a Board of County Commission
Member)
Mr. Smith opened the floor for nominations for Chairman.
A MOTION WAS MADE by School Board Member Searcy, SECONDED by
Citizen Member Heckman, to elect Commissioner Susan Adams as Chairman.
There were no other nominations for Chairman.
Mr. Smith CALLED FOR A VOTE and the Board unanimously approved the
election of Commissioner Susan Adams as Chairman of the Value Adjustment
Board for Tax Year 2017.
Chairman Adams opened the floor for nominations for Vice Chairman.
A MOTION WAS MADE by Citizen Member Heckman, SECONDED By School
Board Member Searcy, to elect Commissioner Bob Solari as Vice -Chairman. There
were no other nominations for Vice -Chairman.
Chairman Adams CALLED FOR A VOTE and the Board unanimously approved
the election of Commissioner Bob Solari as Vice -Chairman of the Value Adjustment
Board for Tax Year 2017.
6. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:40 a.m.
