HomeMy WebLinkAbout1991-172RESOLUTION NO. 91- 172 \RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE TRANSMITTAL OF PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TO THE.STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS FOR THEIR REVIEW WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners adopted the Indian River County Comprehensive Plan on February 13, 1990, and WHEREAS, the county received comprehensive plan amendment applications during its July 1991 amendment submittal window, and WHEREAS, the Local Planning Agency held a public hearing on all comprehensive plan amendment requests on September 26, 1991, after due public notice, and WHEREAS, the Local Planning Agency recommended that the Board of County Commissioners approve transmittal of the comprehensive plan amendments listed as "a", "b", "c" and "d" below; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County held a Transmittal Public Hearing on November 12, 1991, after advertising pursuant to F.S. 163.3184(15)(b)(1), and WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners announced at the transmittal public hearing its intention to hold and advertise a final public hearing at the adoption stage of the plan amendments. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA THAT: 1. The above recitals are ratified in their entirety. 2. The following proposed amendments listed as "a", "b", "c", and "d" are approved for transmittal to the State of Florida Department of Community Affairs for written comment. a. Request to amend Comprehensive Plan Text, including amendments to several policies, tables and text of the Future Land Use Element, Sanitary Sewer Sub -Element, Potable Water Sub -Element, and Capital Improvements Element (CPTA-91-07-0157). b. Request to amend the Land Use Element of the Comprehensive Plan for ±20 acres from L-1, Low -Density Residential - 1 (up to 3 units/acre) to Hospital/Commercial Node for property located on the 600 block of 37th Street (LUDA-91-07-0177). RESOLUTION NO. 91- 172 c. Request to amend the Land Use Element of the Comprehensive Plan for ±888 acres from AG -2, Agricultural - 2 (up to 1 unit/10 acres) to AG -1, Agricultural - 1, (up to 1 unit/5 acres) for property located west and south of the City of Fellsmere, south of County Road 512 (Fellsmere Road) (LUDA-91-07-0175). d. Request to amend the Land Use Element of the Comprehensive Plan for ±40 acres from AG -1, Agricultural - 1 (up to 1 unit/5 acres) to R, Rural (up to 1 unit/acre) for property located on the west side of 58th Avenue, south of 4th Street (LUDA-91-07-0126). The forgoing Resolution was offered by Commissioner Eggert and seconded by Commissioner Mheeler and upon being put to a vote the vote was as follows: Chairman Richard N. Bird Aye Vice -Chairman Gary C. Wheeler Aye Commissioner Margaret C. Bowman Aye Commissioner Carolyn K. Eggert Aye Commissioner Don C. Scurlock, Jr. Aye The Chairman thereupon declared the resolution duly passed and adopted at a public hearing held this 12 day of November 1991.
