A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY,
FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR THIRTEEN MEMBERS
AND AN ALTERNATE MEMBER FOR THE
DEVELOPMENT REVIEW AND PERMIT PROCESS
ADVISORY COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, on June 20, 2017, the Indian River County Board of County
Commissioners (Board) directed staff to draft a resolution establishing the Development
Review and Permit Process Advisory Committee; and
WHEREAS, on July 11, 2017, the Board approved Resolution 2017-070
establishing the Development Review and Permit Process Advisory Committee
(Committee) with the membership consisting of:
"The Development Review and Permit Process Advisory Committee shall have
eleven to thirteen voting members appointed by the Board of County
Commissioners. Each Commissioner is charged with the duty of appointing two
members: one member shall be from the building and development community
and one member from the community at large, but preferably knowledgeable with
respect to some aspect of building and development. The eleventh through
thirteenth members shall be at large members selected by a majority of the
Commission."; and
WHEREAS, at their meeting of August 15, 2017, the Board considered an
impressive list of at large applicants and decided the Committee should consist of 13
members and one alternate at large member.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
1. ESTABLISHMENT.
Resolution 2017-070 establishing the Development Review and Permit Process
Advisory Committee is hereby amended as follows:

The Development Review and Permit Process Advisory Committee shall have
thirteen voting members and one voting alternate appointed by the Board of County
Commissioners. Each Commissioner is charged with the duty of appointing two
members: one member shall be from the building and development community and
one member from the community at large, but preferably knowledgeable with
respect to some aspect of building and development. The eleventh through
thirteenth members together with an alternate shall be at large members selected by

a majority of the Commission. The alternate shall serve in the absence of any
member of the Committee.
3. Aside from the changes to Paragraph 2 above, Resolution 2017-070 shall
remain unchanged and in full force and effect.
The resolution was moved for adoption by Commissioner Solari , and the
motion was seconded by Commissioner Adams , and, upon being put to a vote,
the vote was as follows:

Commissioner Susan Adams Aye
Commissioner Bob Solari Aye

The Chairman thereupon declared the resolution duly passed and adopted this
15th day of August, 2017.
