THE TAX M|LLAGE RATE TO BE LEVIED UPON ALL REAL AND
PERSONAL TAXABLE PROPERTY IN INDIAN RIVER CC)UNTY,
FLORIDA, FOR FISCAL YEAR 2017-2018 FOR THE INDIAN RIVER
COUNTY EMERGENCY SERVICES DISTRICT.
VVHEREAS, the Budget {}ffioar of Indian River County prepared and presented to the
County Commission a hsntmUva budget for the Emergency Services District of Indian River County,
Florida, for the fiscal year commencing on the first day of October, 2017, and ending on the 30th
day of September, 2018. addressing each of the funds therein as provided by |aw, including all
estimated remsiote, taxes to be |evied, and balances expected to be brought fonwend, and all
estimated expenditures, reserves, and balances tobecarried over otthe end ofthe year; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County held numerous
public workshops tuconsider and amend the tentative budget aapresented; and
WHEREAS, the Board did prepare 8 statement summarizing all of the tentative budgets
showing for each budget and for the total of all bud0eto, proposed tax mn|\|agea, the balances and
reoen/en, and the total of each major c|oeeifioodon of the receipts and expenditures classified
according 0Jaccounts prescribed bvthe appropriate state agencies; and
VVHEREA8, the proposed rni||oge rate for the Emergency Services District is above the
rolled back rate of217�2bvO.S96'. and

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County did hold a public
hearing toreview and adopt atentative budget; and
VVHER|EA8, the final budget hearing has been properly advertised and held in accordance
with applicable Florida |avv.
N{}VV. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OFCOUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Boanj, on behalf ofthe Indian River County
Emergency Services 0ethct, does herewith levy upon all real and personal taxable property in
Indian Rive/ County, Florida, within the diotrict, for fiscal year 2017-2018. a tax of 2.3655 nmi||o on
the dollar for the purpose of funding the Emergency Services District of Indian River County;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the rni||oge as adopted herein shall be filed in the DMioe
of the County Budget C)ffioar and in the Public Records; and the County Budget Officer shall
transmit forthwith a certified copy of this resolution to the Property Appraiser for Indian River County,
