HomeMy WebLinkAbout12/15/1932said years 1933 and 1932, not later than December 15th provided the some can be based €j computed upon the valuation as fixed for the latter year; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners, of Indian River County, that the Railroad Assessment Board be requested and urged to pe nnit said Railm Company to pay all State and County taxes for the year 1931, based upon the assessed valuation for the year 1932, provided all taxes for both years are paid within fifteen days after the adoption of this resolution. The above resolution was offered by Commissioner LaB ruee, and being seconded by Commissioner Yongue.was unanimously adopted. It was ordered that Clerks and Inspectors of the various voting precincts, as well as the Deputies at the polls, be paid the sum of $4.00 each for such services. V7. R. Duncan, Tax Assessor, presented bills and accounts against the various special taxing Districts of the County, for 4/5 of the commissions due from such sever special taxing Districts on account of fees due him for assessing the taxes for the year 1932. It vans further ordered that when death occurs those in charge of the deceased must make satisfactory\,,arraingements with the Commissioner in the Dist where the deceased lived, otherwise no bill will be approved for such service. at The several bills and accounts against the County having been audited, were examin�d and found correct, were approved and warrants ordered issued in settlement of some. The bills and accounts being on file in the office of the Clerk Circuit Court. The war- rants issued in settlement of the accounts being listed completely in the County finance record as provided by law, reference to such record and the list so recorded being made a part'of these minutes as fully and completely as if the said warrants were set out herein in detail. The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met at the Court House in Vero Beach, Florida, at 3:00 o'clock P.M.Thursday, December 15th 1 in special session on call of the Chairman, with the following members of the Board present: Albert 0. Helseth, Chairman; J*J.P.Hamilton and Eli C. Walker. The bond of Edwin A. Helseth, as County Commissionerx District #5, in the sum of $29000000 with Fidelity & Deposit Comp any, of Maryland, a corporation, as suretyvas approved. The Clerk announced he had received a list of Confederate Pensioners and widows Of Confederate. soldiers who receive pensions from the State, which was forwarded by the �I 0 1 mil Comptroller, as provided by law. The same was checked over, and approved,and were ordered returned to the 'State Comptroller with this Board's approval of same. There being no further business on motion made, seconded and carried, the Board then adjourned until the regular meeting in January 1933. AT t , Chairman :,� Clerk. MONDA-', JANUARY 2nd 1933. The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met at the Court House in Vero Beach, at 10:00 o'clock A.X,,Monday, January 2nd 19339 with the following members of the Board presents 11bDw Yongue; T.W'.LaBruce; J.J.P.Hamilton and Eli C. Walker. Absent Albert O.Helseth. .Also present was Miles Warren, Clerk. On motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, Eli C Walker, was named Chairman pro tem. The minutes of the previous meeting was read and.approved. Application for Mothers Pension of Mrs Alma King, Vero Beach, was received and considered, and same approved for the sum of $10.00 per month until the further orders of this Board. The bond of John T Beugnot, as Constable District #19 in the sum of $500.00- with Roy K Fields and E.W.Viekers, as sureties was approved. It was ordered that the following tax sale certificates be sold for the amount indicated.
