TERMINATION OF INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT FOR CREATION OF
THE INDIAN RIVER LAGOON COUNTIES COLLABORATIVE
THIS TERMINATION OF INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT FOR CREATION .OF THE
INDIAN RIVER LAGOON COUNTIES COLLABORATIVE ("Termination")is entered into
as of the day of , 2016 by and between Volusia County, Brevard County. Indian River
County, St. Lucie County and Martin County (the "Member Counties").
RECITALS
WHEREAS, in 2014 the County Council of Volusia County and the Board of County
Commissioners of Brevard County, Indian River County, St. Lucie County and Martin County
entered into an Interlocal Agreement for Creation of the Indian River Lagoon Counties
Collaborative (the "Agreement"); and
WHEREAS, the Member Counties entered into the Agreement in order to coordinate
efforts to improve and protect the health of the Indian River Lagoon; and
WHEREAS, in 2015 the Indian River Lagoon Council was established as the governing
entity for the Indian River Lagoon National Estuary Program (IRLNEP); and
WHEREAS,the IRLNEP has similar objectives as those sought to be met by the Member
Counties under the Agreement;
WHEREAS, on September 25, 2015, the representatives of the Member Counties who
serve on the governing board under the Agreement voted to terminate the Agreement.
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual undertakings herein and other good and
valuable consideration, the receipt and adequacy of which is hereby acknowledged, the parties .
agree, as follows:
1. Recitals. The above recitals are true and correct and are incorporated herein.
2. Termination of Interlocal Agreement for Creation of the Indian River Lagoon
Counties Collaborative. The Interlocal Agreement for Creation of the Indian River
Lagoon Counties Collaborative is hereby terminated and declared to be of no further force
or effect.
3. Recordation. A copy of this Termination of Interlocal Agreement for Creation of the
Indian River Lagoon Counties Collaborative shall be recorded in the public records of each
of the Member Counties.
